This role directly supports the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center's Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) team. As part of this on-site team, the selected candidate will provide Modeling and Simulation (M&S) expertise to help develop, refine, and deliver advanced tactics, training, and test capabilities for Government personnel operating under USAFWC/ACC. What You Will Do * Provide on-site support of 31st Combat Training Squadron's Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) training systems located at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada. This role is a member of JSE Engineering Team and will focus primarily on the troubleshooting, configuration, optimization, and development of the F-35 FIAB for advanced synthetic test and training environments within JSE at the JITTC-N. This will include, but are not limited to: * Support JSE F-35 FIAB Daily Operations by monitoring simulator system performance. * Troubleshot JSE F-35 FIAB issues by reviewing FIAB source code and/or JSE Platform Plugin source code. * Developing enhancements and optimizing existing F-35 FIAB simulator system. * Integration of F-35 FIAB other platforms. * Develop and assist with accurately reporting F-35 FIAB and JPP to deficiencies. What You Must Have * 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. * Candidate must have experience in Software Development and Software Design. * Candidate must have proficiency working in a Linux command-line environment. * Candiate must have strong communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills working independently and as part of a technical team. * Candidate must demonstrat strong work ethic and initiative to troubleshoot, address, and prevent problems on complex tasks and systems. * Candidate must have had an active Top Secret security clearance within the last 24 months. * Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and relevant SAP/SAR clearances. Bonus Points For Having! * Software Development Experience in F-35 FIAB source code, JSE Platform Plugin source code, or related experience. * Current DoD TS/SCI clearance. * Knowledge and/or experience with components of JSE or DoD training simulators is highly desired. * Experience with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other productivity products is highly desired. * Candidates with math, computer science, engineering, operational research, or equivalent technical degree is desired.
