Job description

Position Description

At ServiceTrade, youโ€™ll build technology that matters โ€” for your career, your team, and the thousands of commercial contractors who rely on our platform every day. Weโ€™re on a mission to partner with commercial trades to deliver technology that enhances technician productivity, improves customer experiences, and drives scalable growth.

Weโ€™re looking for a Director, Sales whoโ€™s excited to make an impact. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of experienced Account Executives focused on SMB through mid-market level clients. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth, optimizing the sales process, and elevating team performance as we scale. Youโ€™ll partner cross-functionally with Marketing, RevOps, Product, and Customer Success to refine our go-to-market motion and ensure our Fire & Life Safety vertical is positioned for sustainable, long-term growth. This role is ideal for a strategic, metrics-driven sales leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and is excited by the opportunity to build and scale within a high-growth SaaS business.

You will be responsible for coaching and developing sales professionals to engage with prospects, introduce ServiceTrade, gain an understanding of their business and growth goals and help generate qualified opportunities to move through the sales funnel. We are looking for a smart, competitive, career-oriented professional who wants to impact the growth of our business and of our customers.

Why ServiceTrade

Youโ€™ll belong here from the start.

We bring together kind, curious people with diverse perspectives and trust them with meaningful work. Youโ€™ll have ownership, clarity, and support to solve real problems, make a visible impact for our customers, and continue growing as your role evolves.

On the Sales team, youโ€™ll have the opportunity to shape the future of our business and leave a lasting impact. You wonโ€™t just be managing a team; youโ€™ll be mentoring experienced reps through complex, high-stakes deals, crafting innovative sales strategies, and influencing the trajectory of our Corporate segment at a critical moment in our growth journey.

About You
  • Youโ€™re a sales leader at heart with a passion for building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams. You've led sales teams that consistently exceed targets and thrive in high-growth SaaS environments.
  • You have experience selling into mid-market or enterprise organizations, with a deep understanding of complex sales cycles, multiple stakeholders, and value-based selling.
  • Youโ€™re data-driven, but not data-obsessedโ€”you know how to use metrics to inform your strategy while keeping people at the center of the process.
  • You take pride in driving process excellence, from pipeline generation to forecasting accuracy and deal execution. You bring structure to scaling organizations while maintaining agility.
  • Youโ€™re a cross-functional collaborator, able to work seamlessly across teams to improve the buyer journey and influence product, marketing, and GTM strategy.
  • Youโ€™ve seen what great looks like and have the scars (and stories) to prove it. Youโ€™re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and iterate quickly.
  • Most of all, you're customer-obsessed, intellectually curious, and motivated by solving real business problems with elegant SaaS solutions.
Key Responsibilities and Activities
  • Provide strategic oversight and execution of day-to-day sales operations for the Fire & Life Safety team, ensuring alignment with broader business objectives and holding team leaders accountable for performance and outcomes.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets through disciplined forecasting, pipeline management, and operational rigor.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, RevOps, and other cross-functional leaders to develop and scale high-performing pipeline generation strategies tailored to the Corporate segment, with a strong emphasis on outbound and ABM (Account-Based Marketing) motions.
  • Maintain deep visibility into late-stage pipeline health, proactively supporting sales leadership and enterprise reps in deal progression, negotiation strategy, and closing execution.
  • Establish a culture of high performance, coaching front-line managers and senior sellers in sales excellence, deal strategy, and customer-centric solutioning.
  • Lead the ongoing refinement and execution of robust hiring, onboarding, and enablement programs to continuously level up talent and support long-term team scalability.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in market intelligence, competitive positioning, and customer needs within the enterprise space, ensuring teams are equipped to articulate differentiated value and drive meaningful customer outcomes.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to shape long-term org design, headcount planning, and go-to-market strategy for the Corporate segment.
Knowledge and Skills
  • 5+ years in senior sales leadership roles in B2B SaaS organizations, with a proven ability to drive team performance across mid-market and enterprise segments.
  • Demonstrated success as both an individual contributor and sales leader, with a strong foundation in enterprise deal cycles and strategic selling.
  • Experience building and scaling Corporate or Enterprise sales teams, including talent acquisition, development, and performance management.
  • Deep knowledge of complex B2B sales processes, stakeholder management, and value-based selling frameworks.
  • Proficient with CRM and sales enablement platforms such as Salesforce, Gong, ZoomInfo, and SalesNavigator; adept at leveraging data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills with a history of collaboration across Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Willingness to take calculated risks, with a demonstrated ability to learn from setbacks and iterate quickly for growth.
Location

This role is based out of our Raleigh-Durham Headquarters. You will need to be on-site with your team during the week. No fully remote individuals will be considered.
