Regional Business Director Pacific North – Dental Services Organization (DSO) Position Overview:

The Regional Business Director will oversee the operational, financial, and strategic performance of 6 to 8 dental practice locations, generating from $60M to +$80M in annual revenue. Reporting to the Division President, this role will drive business growth, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction while ensuring clinical excellence and financial success. The Regional Business Director will lead practice managers and regional support teams, fostering a high-performance culture and aligning the region with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities: Operational Leadership & Performance Management
  • Oversee day-to-day operations across multiple dental locations, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality patient care.

  • Implement standardized processes, scheduling, and resource allocation to maximize clinic efficiency.

  • Monitor and drive key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue, patient volume, provider productivity, and cost control.

  • Leverage data-driven insights to enhance operational decision-making and business growth.

  • Ensure alignment with corporate objectives, compliance, and industry best practices.

Financial & Revenue Management
  • Maintain full P&L responsibility for the assigned region, ensuring revenue growth and cost optimization.

  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in coordination with the Division President and the Field Finance team.

  • Drive revenue cycle management efforts, optimizing billing, collections, and payer relationships.

  • Identify opportunities to improve profitability through pricing strategies, patient retention, and service mix adjustments.

Business Growth & Sales Strategy
  • Develop and execute regional growth strategies, including patient acquisition, referral network expansion, and marketing initiatives.

  • Utilize competitive market intelligence to refine sales approaches and enhance patient conversion rates.

  • Work with local teams to implement community engagement programs that drive new patient growth.

  • Partner with marketing and business development teams to optimize patient experience and brand positioning.

Collaboration with Clinical Leadership
  • Work closely with Clinical Directors and Lead Dentists to ensure alignment between business objectives and clinical excellence.

  • Support clinical training, provider development, and patient care initiatives to enhance clinical outcomes.

  • Monitor and support clinical KPIs to ensure high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

  • Promote innovation and the adoption of new treatment protocols and digital dentistry solutions.

Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead and develop Practice Managers and regional operations teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.

  • Provide coaching and leadership training to support team growth and career progression.

  • Champion a collaborative and patient-first culture within all locations.

  • Ensure strong communication and alignment across all regional teams and leadership levels.

Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure full compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.

  • Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, infection control, and ethical business practices.

  • Implement policies and procedures that mitigate risk and enhance operational consistency.

Stakeholder & Community Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with referring providers, insurance partners, and key stakeholders.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or MHA preferred.

  • Experience:

  • Proven ability to manage $60M+ in revenue with a track record of driving growth and operational excellence.

  • Experience leading regional teams, driving sales strategies, and optimizing multi-site operations.
