Job description

Position Summary
Capital & Partner Solutions (CAPS) manages all capital formation and strategic partnership efforts for investment offerings across Vista Equity Partners. Engaging with Vista's private equity and private credit investing strategies, the CAPS team is responsible for product strategy, fundraising, relationship management, and the investor experience for all of Vista's solutions across institutional and private wealth investors.
The client coverage team within CAPS is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing relationships with existing and new limited partners across our global franchise. The group operates collaboratively and is organized regionally to offer the breadth and depth of our investment products and solutions to institutional and private wealth investors around the world. Team members determine client, channel, and region-specific strategies to deepen existing relationships and broaden our LP base, and operate with the assistance of systems, technology, and data to inform strategy and consistently deliver effective outcomes.
The Latin America CAPS team covers institutional investors, family offices, and private wealth platforms across Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean, Brazil, the Andean region, and the Southern Cone. We are hiring a Coverage Associate to support investor relations and fundraising initiatives in the region. The Associate will report directly to the Vice President who leads the Latin America CAPS team's coverage effort and will work closely with the broader CAPS team and senior firm leadership.
This role is uniquely positioned across both institutional and wealth fundraising, providing the Associate with full-spectrum exposure to Vista's LP base in the region. The team is small and flat, with direct visibility to firm leadership and a deliberate model of training and elevating talent over time. The first 12 to 24 months of the role are designed to be support-oriented, with the Associate building deep familiarity with Vista's products, LP base, and internal stakeholders. Over time, the Associate is expected to take increasing ownership of relationships and develop into a coverage professional within the team. This is not a rotational or resume-building seat. Vista is investing in this hire as a long-term member of the Latin America franchise, with meaningful runway and a clear development path.
Responsibilities
  • Investor engagement preparation: Support relationship managers in delivering a complete LP experience across the Vista platform through a disciplined approach to investor communication. Build briefing memos, meeting materials, talking points, and follow-up workflows for LP meetings, roadshows, and senior leadership engagements across the region.
  • Diligence and LP servicing: Serve as a first point of contact for diligence and servicing of LP requests by applying technical knowledge of Vista's platform, products, and structures to map out projects and execute on deliverables.
  • Database and CRM management: Own the integrity and quality of LP coverage data, pipeline tracking, commitment history, and engagement records. Build and maintain the investor pipeline in collaboration with the Latin America coverage team with discipline and rigor. Ensure all critical data is maintained in CRM and translated accurately across firm-wide reporting and investor data repositories.
  • Content creation: Support the development of content for broad dissemination to clients and prospects, including white papers, investment analyses, briefing memos, and PowerPoint presentations. Take ownership of recurring publications and ad hoc research projects driven by market dynamics, regulatory changes, client activity, or other catalysts.
  • Product team liaison: Serve as the day-to-day connection point between Latin America LPs and Vista's product management teams across the full product suite (flagship, middle market, small cap, credit, and semi-liquid strategies), managing investor requests, due diligence inquiries, and data room workflows.
  • Stakeholder prioritization: Act as the "air traffic controller" for the Latin America team, sequencing internal and external priorities, managing competing requests, and ensuring senior bandwidth is deployed where it matters most. Collaborate across Vista teams to service bespoke client requests, independently managing project timelines, follow-ups, content creation, and internal approvals in line with internal and external deadlines.
  • Strategic initiatives partnership: Partner with Vista's Strategic Initiatives team to:
    • Develop custom structures and creative fundraising approaches on priority accounts to unlock significant capital
    • Expand Vista's existing portfolio presence into Latin America and increase adoption among local enterprises
    • Support the sourcing of local transactions through existing relationships and Vista's network in the region
  • Investor outreach and coordination: Support investor outreach and servicing with consistent professionalism in all interactions with investors and internal teams. Maintain close coordination with Product and Project Management teams around fundraising processes, investor engagement, key wins, and notable internal and external updates.

Career Path & Development
The Associate will receive hands-on training and direct mentorship from the Vice President who leads the Latin America CAPS team's coverage effort. The Associate will also work closely with the Managing Director and firmwide Head of Latin America across regional initiatives. Strong performers will progressively assume increasing responsibility with a path toward coverage roles within the Latin America franchise.
Qualifications
  • Fluent professional English and Spanish required; Portuguese is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree from a leading institution, with 2 to 4 years of relevant work experience (graduating class of 2022 to 2024)
  • Strong academic record; progress toward the CFA or comparable accreditations is viewed favorably
  • Preferred backgrounds: private equity experience (investment team or investor relations experience) is most ideal, followed by sell-side investment banking or asset management. Strong candidates from private banking, management consulting, and related fields will also be considered. Prior fundraising experience is not required.
  • Solid understanding of financial markets and genuine interest in the technology and software sector
  • Highly motivated self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong sense of accountability, organizational discipline, and attention to detail; with no task viewed as too small and every assignment approached as an opportunity to learn
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and operational excellence, with the ability to build, codify, and promote processes and best practices
  • Proficient and thoughtful use of AI tools to augment work, complement judgment, and increase efficiency across workflows - not as a substitute for it; viewed as a key skill
  • Approaches problems and develops solutions that account for the broader strategic context
  • Manages shifting demands and priorities effectively, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to build durable working relationships internally and externally
  • Entrepreneurial and able to work effectively in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage stakeholders, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Comfort operating in a lean, flat team with significant senior visibility and ownership from day one

Travel Requirements
Travel is a core component of the role. The Associate should expect regular travel across Latin America and to Vista's offices to support LP meetings, roadshows, and internal coordination.
The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $125,000-175,000. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, subject matter expertise and the applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
