The Silicon Labs Internet of Things (IoT) Infrastructure Software team is an elite group of software engineers focused on developing internal tools and frameworks. Our team has a deep understanding of all aspects of semiconductor software development, including embedded, object-oriented applications, database, and web analytics. We have a passion for what we do and always seek out better ways to make our users more productive.
Responsibilities
• Develop and test robust and scalable software infrastructure for life cycle management of IoT MCU & Wireless products
• Develop UI tools for part management in the following environments: design, verification, embedded platform s/w, and systems
• Develop generation tools and template logic to provide IC support collateral including C source and embedded IDE integration
• Troubleshoot and debug Jenkins CI/CD jobs for IC design and verification flows in simulation and FPGA
• Develop and troubleshoot code for user applications and utilities, focusing on IC design and verification
• Assist chip design engineers and hardware systems engineers in using the software tools at all pre-silicon development phases
• Interact with diverse communities of hardware, systems, IC design, and marketing groups in different geographical locations
• Develop tools for test data analysis and presentation
• Develop and deliver training materials and demonstrations
• Evaluate, adopt and deploy new technologies effectively
• Effectively communicate with others to resolve issues
Skills You Will Need
Minimum qualifications:
• BSCS/CE/EE and 5+ years of professional software development experience
• Strong experience in object-oriented programming in Python, C#, or Java
• Familiarity with software build techniques and revision control tools; working with hardware engineers in using the software tools at all pre-silicon development phases
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies
The following qualifications will be considered as a plus:
• Knowledge of XML/XSLT/XSD for data modeling and transformation
• Experience with UI development in Python Qt 5
• Python profiling and performance optimization techniques
• Understanding of new part integration workflow for embedded software IDEs such as IAR EW ARM and SEGGER Ozone
• Understanding of automated test environments for hardware verification, validation, and characterization
• Hardware debugging skills to enable software functionality
• Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) powered tools and technologies used to enhance productivity, analysis, and decision-making.

The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $124,600 - $231,400 USD. Actual base pay could vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, geographic location where work will be performed and applicant's skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual cash bonus, equity package and a comprehensive benefits package.
