Zurich Group Investment Management, Inc. (ZGIM), a part of Zurich North America, is seeking an Investment Operations Associate Director to join the Investment Administration and Accounting (IAA) team. The candidate selected will be located at our Parsippany, NJ office.

Responsibilities:
  • Managing the end-to-end processing, posting, and clearing of transactions related to private debt instruments
  • Overseeing income payments, capital calls, distributions, and lifecycle events for private market assets
  • Ensuring accurate and timely month-end closing activities for private debt instruments and alternative investments products
  • Performing monthly reconciliations of private asset holdings, alternative investments products and related cash accounts
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for private markets operations, supporting internal initiatives, system enhancements, and client-specific requirements.
  • Collaborating with investment teams, custodians, and third-party administrators to resolve complex operational issues.
  • Leading automation and digitalization efforts tailored to the nuances of private and illiquid assets
  • Leading the development, enhancement, and maintenance of internal controls and quality assurance processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation across investment accounting and reporting activities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting with 5 or more years of experience in the Investment Operations area OR
  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 7-10 or more years of experience in the Investment Operations area

Preferred Qualifications:
  • CFA designation
  • 5 or more years of experience with exposure to private debt and alternative investment products
  • Experience with FSCM, FAM, or TRM modules in SAP Treasury; financial technical skills are an asset
  • A proactive, solutions focused mindset to support reporting and operational activities.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, processes, and evolving Operational requirements
  • Ability to work independently while managing day-to-day priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively
  • Ability to cultivate and manage productive relationships with internal stakeholders, key business partners, asset managers, and custodians, with a particular emphasis on supporting private debt operations and alternative investment products
  • Ability to enhance and standardize processes across regions, leveraging technology, automation, and cross team collaboration to drive efficiency
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex operational workflows and contribute to cross functional initiatives, particularly within private markets
  • Strong problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to resolve operational issues and escalate more complex matters appropriately
  • Strong motivation to stay current with emerging technologies, including the practical application of AI features, to drive innovation and continuous improvement.

Your pay at Zurich is based on your role, location, skills, and experience. We follow local laws to ensure fair compensation. You may also be eligible for bonuses and merit increases. The pay range shown is a national average and may vary by location. The proposed salary range for this position is $109,000 - $178,375, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
