The Child Care Director is responsible for overseeing daily center operations, ensuring compliance with Texas Child Care Licensing Minimum Standards, maintaining exceptional educational quality, and fostering a positive culture for children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and inspire teaching staff to deliver high-quality early childhood education

  • Recruit, train, and mentor educators to maintain a strong, positive workplace culture

  • Conduct staff evaluations, professional development, and ongoing coaching

  • Promote teamwork, accountability, and professional growth

Center Operations

  • Oversee daily operations ensuring classrooms run smoothly and efficiently

  • Maintain proper staffing ratios and scheduling

  • Ensure a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all children

  • Manage enrollment, tours, and family engagement

Licensing & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with Texas Licensing Minimum Standards

  • Maintain required records, documentation, and inspections

  • Prepare for licensing visits and quality rating programs

  • Implement health, safety, and emergency procedures

Family & Community Engagement

  • Build strong relationships with families through communication and support
