Job Description Requirements: Technical College education in one of maintenance related areas; mechanical, electrical/electronics. Proven hands-on experience in maintenance related areas. Two years' experience as maintenance supervisor or Plant Engineer.

Excellent problem-solving techniques. Knowledge of Government legislation in the areas of Health and Safety, Labour relations, Employment standards, Human rights, Pay equity, WCB, etc. Ability to interact with all levels of employees in organization, customers, suppliers, sub-contractors, engineers, etc.

Management and supervisory skills in the areas of: Interaction and communication Hiring Orientation Company policies Performance reviews Pay administration Discipline Absenteeism Negotiation Excellent knowledge of manufacturing equipment and processes. Computer skills. Measurement Bases: Successful development and implementation of Preventative Maintenance Program.

Results indicating continuous improvement in the efficiency of all manufacturing equipment demonstrated by performance indicators. Audit of equipment specifications to ensure optimum production levels. Adherence to departmental budget.

Continuous cost reduction demonstrated by performance indicators. Feedback from Key Relationships. Adherence to Business Plan demonstrated by performance indicators.
