Divisional Vice President, Store Operations Role Summary Reporting to the SVP Stores , the Divisional Vice President, Store Operations defines, standardizes, and drives the operating framework that enables strong and consistent execution across the store network. This role leads centralized operational functions supporting stores day-to-day and long-term, including Asset Protection , Health & Safety , Business Continuity , Operations Support , Store Operations Projects , and Workforce Scheduling & Forecasting , and partners with Field Leadership to ensure priorities are practical, scalable, and executed effectively in stores. The DVP also drives enterprise transformation by leveraging data and digital capabilities to simplify operations, improve customer experience, and enhance store productivity-ensuring teams are enabled, systems are fit for purpose, and store capacity is protected while delivering sustainable financial and customer outcomes. Key Responsibilities Operational Strategy & Governance Translate enterprise and store strategy into clear operational standards, policies, and execution models for stores. Establish and lead an effective operating rhythm (KPIs, reviews, dashboards, governance forums). Champion simplification, standardization, and operational excellence across the store network. Ensure alignment between corporate initiatives and field realities. Store Enablement & Execution Lead enterprise change adoption in stores by ensuring tools, process design, and training enablement are embedded in rollout plans and protect store operational capacity. Lead centralized operations teams that support in-store execution, readiness, and performance. Partner closely with Field Leadership (SVPs, RVPs, DMs) to address operational issues and improve execution quality. Work with IT and Digital teams to ensure store systems, tools, and technologies are reliable, intuitive, and operationally sound. Oversee operational programs, projects, pilots, and large-scale rollouts impacting stores. Drive solutions that enhance store productivity, customer experience, and associate engagement. Workforce Management (Scheduling, Forecasting & Productivity) Own enterprise governance for store workforce scheduling and labour forecasting to enable customer experience, service, and productivity at store level. Sponsor, steer and leverage the store scheduling & forecasting platform (Legion). Ensure scheduling governance and controls protect payroll integrity in coordination with system owners and HR/Payroll. Ensure vendor performance, compliance, and value delivery align with enterprise standards. Safety, Asset Protection & Business Continuity Ensure robust safe work environment, asset protection, compliance, and risk management frameworks across stores. Oversee crisis management, business continuity planning, and operational resilience. Ensure adherence to internal controls, regulatory requirements, and company policies. People Leadership & Capability Building Lead and develop a high-performing team of operational leaders and experts. Build strong succession plans and leadership capabilities within Store Operations functions. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Cross-Functional Leadership Act as a trusted operational partner to Merchandising, Supply Chain, HR, IT, Finance, and other enterprise teams. Represent store operations perspectives at the executive table. Influence decisions to ensure stores remain at the center of enterprise initiatives. Profile & Experience Senior leadership experience in large-scale retail or multi-site operations. Experience leading enterprise transformation or large-scale operating model change. Proven ability to lead centralized teams serving large field organizations. Strong operational, financial, and risk management acumen.
