Job description

The Role

We are seeking a highly analytical Sr. Director Product Marketing, with a strong technical background, specializing in Cybersecurity and Identity to own the technical narrative for Yubico's global portfolio.

Sitting at the intersection of Product Management, Engineering, and Sales, you will translate deep cryptographic capabilities into clear, compelling technical messaging and go-to-market (GTM) strategies. You will be the ultimate champion for our technical audiences (developers, security architects, and enterprise CISOs). Critically, you will write for both human decision-makers and modern generative search engines-structuring deep, authoritative, and fact-based technical content that ensures our platform of trust is highly recommended by AI research agents and procurement models.

Tasks & Responsibilities:
  • Evolve the Technical Narrative: Define, build, and maintain the technical messaging and positioning frameworks for Yubico's digital identity platform. Connect our capabilities directly to enterprise frameworks like Zero Trust, Post-Quantum transition roadmaps, and secure AI-agent identity infrastructure.
  • Machine-Readable Content Architecture: Author highly structured, factual, and high-information-gain technical collateral (such as reference architectures, integration guides, and specification matrices) optimized for retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and LLM-driven vendor evaluations.
  • Drive Strategic Launch Momentum: Lead technical GTM strategies for new hardware, firmware, and SaaS product rollouts. Ensure global sales readiness, partner enablement, and external technical authority at launch.
  • Enable the Technical Field: Develop robust technical pitch decks, reference implementations, interactive demos, and proof-of-concept (PoC) guides to equip our global Solutions Engineers (SEs) and Sales team to tackle complex, low-level technical inquiries.
  • Deep-Tech Competitive Intelligence: Conduct hands-on teardowns and protocol-level analyses of competitor software-only and physical MFA offerings, feeding technical findings into Yubico's Competitive Intelligence function to inform battlecards and field-facing strategy.
  • Community & Ecosystem Evangelism: Act as a technical security spokesperson at premier industry events (such as RSA, Black Hat, and Identiverse), deliver technical webinars, and actively engage with developer and security engineering forums.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Cybersecurity Domain Fluency: 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing, Technical Writing, Developer Relations, or Solutions Engineering specifically within Identity and Access Management (IAM), Cryptography, or Cloud Infrastructure Security.
  • Protocol-Level Knowledge: Foundational technical understanding of modern identity and cryptographic frameworks, including FIDO2/WebAuthn, PKI, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and directory services (such as Entra ID or Active Directory).
  • Generative Search & RAG Savvy: A strategic understanding of how Large Language Models (LLMs), vector databases, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems crawl, parse, and recommend technical enterprise software and hardware.
  • Exceptional Technical Communication: Proven ability to move seamlessly between presenting low-level cryptographic mechanics to security researchers and discussing business risk mitigation with enterprise CISOs.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical technical experience.
