Job description

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Principal to work in a technical support role with highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients. This is a full-time position located in our New York City, NY or White Plains, NY office.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
In this position, youwill:

  • Serve as a key member of the east region to drive profitable growth of the environmental consulting business.
  • Have a passion and demonstrated success for developing business with new clients and continuing to foster trusted relationships with existing clients.
  • Personally engage in developing and executing strategic consulting work with identified existing and target clients.
  • Direct and execute consulting projects, acting as the main client contact for work attained.
  • Oversee the safe execution of all phases of a project to meet our clients' objectives, as well as company goals for revenue generation and profitability.
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence in the services required by our clients.
  • Manage all phases and aspects of projects to address client goals and objectives. .
  • Direct the execution of projects to meet technical, quality, budgetary and scheduling requirements.
  • Mentor staff through a "learn-by-doing" model.
  • Work cooperatively in a team-based environment.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Minimum Skills andRequirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical or mechanical engineering, geology, chemistry, or environmental science.
  • Professional Licensure in applicable field.
  • More than 15 Years experience
  • Proven client development experience and client relationships supported by repeat business, including established contacts in both private and public sector markets.
  • Consistent track record of successfully winning and managing large and strategic projects.
  • Excellent communication, strategic thinking, and people skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of the local, state and federal regulatory landscape and proven negotiation skills with federal, state and local regulators.

The salary range for this position in New York City, NY and White Plains, NY is 180,000 - 273,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors such as education, related work experience, certificates, skills, and current market conditions.
