Job description

Director, Global Legal, Compliance & Regulatory Technology
The Director, Global Legal, Compliance & Regulatory (GLCR) Technology will design and deliver technology-driven solutions to enable the optimal delivery of legal, compliance, and regulatory services within AIG across all regions in which the company operates. The candidate should have demonstrated experience in and deep knowledge of the legal industry, coupled with a strong technology professional background, excellent team leadership skills, and a strong knowledge of corporate, large company structure, which will enable effective partnership between GLCR and IT. The ideal candidate should be a process-driven, strategic thinker with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams with an operational excellence mindset and evidence of having delivered significant organizational results.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing team that drives technology and process innovation, including adoption of AI capabilities in close partnership with the Data, Analytics & Automation team, within the legal, compliance, and regulatory space.
  • Partner with legal, compliance, and regulatory team stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and system requirements supporting legal operations and regulatory needs.
  • Translate legal, compliance, and regulatory team requirements into clear system specifications, user stories, and process flows for technology teams.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for legal, compliance, and regulatory systems, workflows, and data, ensuring alignment with legal, risk, and governance standards.
  • Collaborate with IT, vendors, and cross-functional partners through the full SDLC, including design, testing, UAT, and production rollout.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend technology or automation improvements to enhance legal, compliance, and regulatory team efficiency.
  • Deliver projects on time and demonstrate a deep understanding of budget and forecasting skills, including the overall financial impact to GLCR.
  • Operationalize a GLCR Technology Roadmap that supports organizational transformation initiatives to facilitate our goals with efficiency and excellence.
  • Support partner functions of Global Security, Aviation & Sustainability with comparable levels of support and strategic direction offered to ensure consistent experience for all functions under AIG's General Counsel.
  • Maintaining a technology environment underpinned with operational excellence for all applications.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of technology and/or operations experience with demonstrated understanding of unique needs of Legal, Compliance & Regulatory clients.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams with strong track records of flawless project execution and driving a culture of operational excellence.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • BA or equivalent experience; Master's degree is a plus.

For positions based in Atlanta, the base salary range is $205,000-$240,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
