Short Description

The Supply Chain Risk Analyst works closely with other professionals, business units, and cross-functional teams to ensure risk awareness and management are at the forefront of supply chain strategic planning and decision-making.

Using analytical and tactical expertise, the Supply Chain Risk Analyst will share risk intelligence, analyze new vulnerabilities, and provide risk strategy recommendations.

The Supply Chain Risk Analyst is responsible for developing and implementing risk analysis models and assessments of supplier-related risks and potential impacts, as well as project managing the execution of effective strategies to mitigate these risks across Cooper's supply chain and proactively identifying and recommending mitigation strategies related to the supply chain ecosystem for the entire health system to support continuity and successful performance of supply chain functions.

Provide oversight of perpetual third-party risk management functions including ongoing management, change management, and the remediation of findings that result from risk assessments for business operations.

Execute supply chain risk mitigation strategies as well as helping inform procurement decisions to achieve short-term and long-term goals.

Support resilience and business continuity initiatives by establishing and supporting policies, procedures, and controls to identify and address risks in the supply chain and across the health system.

Monitor compliance with supplier risk management policies and procedures.

Identify and assess supplier risks including capacity, quality, financial, and geopolitical risks.

Conduct regular risk assessments of critical supply streams to identify emerging risks and develop mitigation plans.

Develop and implement supply risk reporting to provide visibility into supply chain risks to key stakeholders across the health system.

Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices related to supply risk management.

Continuously conduct research, monitoring events, understanding market conditions, and reporting findings related to potential supply chain disruptions along with mitigation recommendations.

Developing strategies and action plans with supply partners to build supply chain stability and resiliency.

Create comprehensive strategies for managing risk, including methods used for risk assessment and mitigation.

This might encompass tools for monitoring vendors, mitigating risk, and executing issue resolution within the SCRM framework.

Document procedures to detect, report, and mitigate risks.

Evaluate effectiveness of current SCRM programs, including an assessment of any gaps or vulnerabilities that might exist.

Develop documentation associated with SCRM policies and practices, to enhance supply chain security and compliance.

Experience Required

0-2 years in the following:

Thorough understanding of third-party risk management and end-to-end supplier management processes.

Knowledge of supply chain management concepts in sourcing, contracting, supplier performance management, and supplier risk management.

Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.

Team player with ability to listen & lead with influence, within a matrix organization.

Excellent project management skills including leading, prioritization, scheduling, written and oral communication skills.

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).

Professional demeanor: demonstrate independent judgement, ability to communicate with all levels of management and relationship building skills to manage business relationships with suppliers.

Demonstrates critical thinking, ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions; detail-oriented and proactive.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant function (e.g. Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Healthcare Administration, etc.)
