Senior Geopolitical Analyst - South & Central America

WhAT WE DO

BlackIron collects and analyzes open source data, providing our clients with timely, accurate and actionable insights that inform critical decisions. We examine global geopolitical risk and provide a variety of daily and periodic reporting products to clients in government, national security industry, and finance. We're looking for an experienced leader to engage and build a strong working relationship with our clients and enable their success by seamlessly optimizing delivery of our capabilities, analysis and data.

What YOU DO

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years experience in open source or all-source analysis related to South and Central America, is comfortable with fast moving requirements, and is able to understand and explain complex narratives succinctly to senior-level decision makers.

You can craft a sound Boolean query, parse through multilingual, multisource datasets, and write first-draft quality analysis on tight timelines for serious customers. You readily collaborate across regions and mission areas as part of a broader team but can also work alone and manage a product line from intake to delivery.

Language capability is valued but not required. CAP graduates are highly valued.

The ability to think critically, speak candidly, and work well with the team is mission critical.
