Position Summary
We're seeking a The Senior Manager, Media & Events owns the strategy, execution, and performance of corporate events, media relations and event marketing across a multi-brand healthcare platform. This role partners closely with affiliate leadership to define event marketing strategy and provides the frameworks, tools, and resources needed to enable consistent, high-impact local execution. The position is accountable for elevating events and media into scalable growth channels that drive brand awareness, physician and patient acquisition, and business development. This leader will set the vision, manage budgets and vendors, build scalable processes, and serve as the central owner for all tradeshows, field events, corporate forums, media strategy, and press execution. Success in this role requires strong executive presence, operational excellence, and the ability to lead cross functional teams in a fast paced, private equity-backed healthcare environment. Responsibilities
Strategy & Functional Ownership
  • Own the enterprise-wide media and events strategy across corporate and affiliate brands.
  • Develop and manage the annual events and media roadmap aligned to organizational growth priorities.
  • Establish scalable frameworks, standards, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across all events and markets.
  • Serve as the central owner and subject matter expert for events and media across the organization.

Affiliate Partnership & Enablement
  • Partner closely with affiliate leadership and marketing team to guide event marketing strategy and execution.
  • Provide affiliates with playbooks, timelines, templates, messaging frameworks, and vendor guidance to support local events.
  • Ensure affiliate-led events align with brand standards while enabling flexibility for local market needs.
  • Advise affiliates on event selection, investment decisions, and execution approach to maximize impact.

Event Planning & Execution
  • Lead the planning and execution of all major corporate events, including tradeshows, conferences, recruiting events, and proprietary forums.
  • Own event budgets, forecasting, and spend management; negotiate vendor, venue, and agency contracts.
  • Oversee logistics including booth strategy, creative development, show services, shipping, staffing, travel, and on-site execution.
  • Partner with creative, business development, and recruiting teams to ensure events are strategically aligned and well-supported.

Media Relations & Communications
  • Lead media relations strategy, including proactive storytelling, press outreach, and reactive media support.
  • Draft and oversee press releases, media materials, executive talking points, and event-related communications.
  • Manage PR agencies and external partners, setting goals, expectations, and performance metrics.
  • Support corporate initiatives such as acquisitions, provider announcements, recruiting efforts, and brand campaigns.

Performance Measurement & Optimization
  • Define success metrics for events and media, including lead generation, engagement, pipeline influence, and brand impact.
  • Ensure event leads are properly captured, distributed, and followed up in coordination with sales and growth teams.
  • Conduct post-event and post-campaign analysis; deliver insights and recommendations to marketing and executive leadership.
  • Continuously refine processes, tools, and vendor performance to improve efficiency and effectiveness at scale.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports and extended event teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, business development, recruiting, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Influence stakeholders without direct authority and manage competing priorities across brands and markets.
  • Provide calm, decisive leadership in high-visibility and time-sensitive situations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive experience in event marketing, media relations, or experiential marketing.
  • Healthcare industry experience required; multi-location or multi-brand environments strongly preferred.
  • Experience working in private equity-backed or high-growth organizations preferred.
  • Proven success owning large-scale events, managing significant budgets, and leading agency partners.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution and drive measurable business outcomes.
  • Strong executive communication skills and comfort presenting to senior leadership.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to support key corporate and affiliate events.
  • Self-starter with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
