Job description

Overview
The Supply and Distribution Planning Leader position contributes to the success of the company by developing Demand and Production (Supply) plans that optimize Stryten's Supply Chain Network Balancing Capacity, Cost, Quality, and Service. You own: Forecasting, Supply Planning and Inventory Deployment across the Industrial Business Unit with daily/weekly hand-offs to Plants for execution of agreed plans. As a company leader, this position drives a culture of continuous improvement in all areas to ensure customer satisfaction, productivity, and employee development.
This position requires you to be on site at our Alpharetta, GA headquarters office 5 days a week.
Responsibilities
  • Management of Consensus Forecast Process for the industrial business.
  • Owns the development and maintenance of the rolling 12-month Supply Plan
  • Key contributor during Sales and Operations Planning review cycles, developing Supply Plan Strategy
  • Maintains monthly S&OP planning documents for the industrial business
  • Deploys Supply Plan Strategy through weekly/daily production schedules to plants to meet customer service level expectations
  • Responsible for the delivery of inventory objectives

  • Extensive JDE, Tableau, and Business Process Knowledge to Support Teams
  • Extensive Sales Planning & Prioritization Process Knowledge to execute Allocation

Qualifications
  • 5-10 years experience in Supply Planning, Forecasting, Inventory management, warehousing, distribution, and/or operations
  • Ability to work in a complex matrix environment and receive cooperation and input from people not under the direct supervision
  • Understand the linkages between distribution requirements planning and other supply chain processes such as demand planning, supply planning, inventory planning, production scheduling, MRP, and transportation management
  • Proven leader
  • Utilize business knowledge and mathematical skills to creatively evaluate situations and adopt a "big picture" approach when implementing solutions
  • Familiar with transaction systems and decision-support tools, database creation and manipulation, spreadsheets, word processing, graphics
  • Advanced planning software experience, JDE & SQL skills preferred
  • Strong Interpersonal skills; Verbal and written communications skills

Education, Experience, Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or related discipline preferred
  • MBA/Masters in Information Technology or Logistics preferred
  • 5-10 years of planning, operations, supply chain, or related experience.
  • Preferred experience in Scheduling/Purchasing Role
  • CPIM (APICS) certification a plus.
  • MBA/Masters in Information Technology or Logistics preferred

Competencies, Skills, Knowledge
  • Working knowledge of supply chain planning, processes, and systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. JDA and JD Edwards experience is beneficial.
  • Strong organization, time-management, and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills. Ability to see the bigger picture while applying analytical solutions to complex issues.
  • Ability to advance within the organization.
  • Demonstrates high integrity in the performance of job responsibilities.

Travel
  • This position requires less than 20% travel.
