Job description

Job Description
Digital Analytics Manager
Reports to: Sr. Director, Client Digital Experience
Department: Client Digital Experience
Location: Remote (with occasional travel)
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role
National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking an experienced Digital Analytics Manager to own the measurement infrastructure, governance, and analytics operations that power our marketing and digital programs across 1,000+ veterinary hospital locations.
This role ensures we have the analytics foundation to measure what matters. You'll own our core analytics platforms (GA4, Amplitude, GTM), and lead governance across our hospital website and app network while building measurement frameworks that connect marketing investment to business outcomes.
This is a strategic, high-visibility role for a technically strong analytics expert who thrives at the intersection of data governance, marketing measurement, and enterprise-scale digital infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics Platform Ownership
• Administer and maintain GA4 and Amplitude: manage configuration, tagging schemas, reporting structures, access controls, and data quality across all properties.
• Own Google Tag Manager governance: maintain container standards, conduct tag audits, enforce pixel policies, and lead the restriction of unauthorized third-party tracking across hospital websites.
• Serve as the internal SME on digital measurement strategy, attribution modeling, and analytics tooling across the organization.
Marketing & Program Measurement
• Build and maintain marketing measurement frameworks: spanning campaign attribution, channel performance, and multi-touch reporting to connect marketing spend to client and revenue outcomes.
• Develop analytics infrastructure for emerging programs including home delivery, supporting ecommerce measurement, funnel analysis, and lifecycle reporting.
• Partner with marketing, product, and operations teams to define KPIs, implement tracking, and deliver actionable reporting.
Governance & Data Integrity
• Own digital analytics governance across 1,000+ hospital websites, ensuring consistent implementation standards, data integrity, and compliance with privacy requirements.
• Lead pixel governance initiatives, including auditing and restricting third-party pixels placed by hospital-level third-party vendors as NVA centralizes website control.
• Partner with IT and legal on consent management, data privacy compliance, and governance policy enforcement.
Team & Contractor Oversight
• Provide direction, QA oversight, and strategic prioritization to two analytics contractors, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.
• Define and maintain documentation for analytics standards, tagging guides, and measurement playbooks.
Qualifications
Required
• 5+ years of experience in digital analytics, marketing measurement, or analytics engineering in a complex, multi-property environment.
• Working knowledge of modern marketing technology ecosystems and governance practices, with the ability to guide platform standards, measurement consistency, and scalable operational processes across enterprise digital environments.
• Deep hands-on expertise with GA4, Google Tag Manager, and Amplitude.
• Strong understanding of tag governance, pixel management, consent frameworks, and data layer architecture.
• Understanding of consent management platforms (CMPs), privacy compliance frameworks, and consent-driven data collection practices, with the ability to partner across legal, marketing, and technical teams to support compliant measurement strategies.
• Hands-on technical fluency: proficient in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytics workflows. Actively uses AI coding tools (Copilot, Claude, etc.) to accelerate development. Comfortable working in version-controlled environments and building scalable, repeatable analytics solutions.
• Experience building attribution and marketing measurement frameworks at scale.
• Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously with a high degree of independence and rigor.
• Strong communicator, able to translate technical analytics concepts for marketing and executive audiences.
Preferred
• Experience in multi-site service organizations, retail or similarly complex enterprise environments.
• Familiarity with ecommerce or home delivery measurement including funnel tracking and revenue attribution.
• Familiarity with server-side tagging concepts and architectures, including GTM Server-Side approaches, privacy-first data collection strategies, and the impact of server-side measurement on analytics quality, governance, and marketing performance.
• Experience overseeing or directing analytics contractors or team members.
• Comfort with tools such as Data Studio.
How You Work
You write Python when a spreadsheet won't cut it. You've built pipelines, automated reporting, and used AI tools to accelerate your work - not just experiment with them. You approach analytics problems like an engineer: you test assumptions, version your work, and find elegant solutions to messy data problems. You're as comfortable in a code editor as you are in a dashboard.
You don't wait to be handed a brief - you spot the gap, define the problem, and build toward a solution. You move fast without cutting corners on data quality, and you care as much about the integrity of the underlying infrastructure as you do about the insight it produces.
What You'll Bring
• A strong analytics foundation with the instincts of a governance-minded practitioner who cares deeply about data quality and trust.
• The ability to operate independently in a complex organization while collaborating effectively across marketing, technology, and operations.
• A builder's mindset - you don't just maintain measurement infrastructure, you improve it.
• Precision, accountability, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving data integrity issues before they become business problems.
Success in This Role Means
• Marketing and program teams trust the data and have the reporting they need to make confident investment decisions.
• Analytics governance is airtight: consistent tagging, clean data, and enforced pixel policies across our hospital network.
• GA4, Amplitude, and GTM are well-administered, fully documented, and continuously improving.
Other Expectations
• Work remotely in the United States, with ability to travel occasionally as needed.
• Passion for and understanding of the human-animal bond.
• Ability to mix great judgment, analytical rigor, and experience to prioritize work, manage risk, and move quickly.
• Belief in our non-hierarchical culture of collaboration, transparency, safety, and trust.
Why You'll Love Working Here
• The people. You'll be surrounded by talented, supportive, smart, and kind leaders/teams - people you'll be proud to work with and who also have fun.
• The business. We care deeply for every animal and the people who love them. Our business is built on care, collaboration, integrity and innovation, and our purpose is to give pets and the people who love them more quality years together.
• The opportunity. Your days and projects will offer variety with the opportunity to gain operational, cross-functional, and executive leadership exposure as a trusted internal partner. You'll have the opportunity to help build and shape the experience for our clients within a growing team and mission-driven industry.
Compensation: $108,000 - $130,000
Bonus: 10%
FSLA Status: Exempt
