With over 1,400 team members, we care for more than 100,000 people across all 50 states.Job DetailsThe Senior Director of Data Strategy and Information Systems will lead the data strategy agenda for business units and enhance strategic decision making through the enablement of data assets. This role partners with business leaders to leverage data to drive revenue generation and cost savings, while ensuring regulatory compliance and effective risk management. In addition, this position is responsible for product management, data methodologies, data processing and quality control, and supporting both internal and external customers of the data asset.ResponsibilitiesManages development and deployment team members as well as Reporting Analysts in the delivery of value-added solutions and the implementation of best practices.Serves as the primary technical representative for assigned business units and works directly with corporate and client IT teams to resolve issues, including but not limited to: completing security assessments, implementing new IT initiatives and communicates impacts, and addressing AWS infrastructure needs or issues, including SQL databases, servers, and application vulnerabilities.Functions as a Product Owner to liaison with corporate data and development teams while providing data related expertise across programs and projects.Develops and maintains data roadmap, prioritizing data work, and ensuring progress is made against the strategic roadmap. Manages data programs and supports strategic initiatives where data management is a critical factor.Leads team members in monitoring, measuring and driving compliance with data governance, data quality and data sourcing policies.Collaborates with business leaders to develop, implement and champion evolving data capabilities.Serves as a thought leader, drives the use of data-driven approaches, and seeks to expand the range of fields in which data insight adds value to decision making.Fosters the adoption of common terminology, language and perspectives for data managementThe above essential functions are representative of major duties of positions in this job classification. Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as excellent presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to make decisions and take actions to improve the overall operational efficiencies for the team and service to the marketplace.Demonstrated technical expertise in engineering, data and business analytics, business intelligence with experience in the following: agile methodology (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.); PowerShell, Python; AWS, GitLab, Visual Studio; .NET, C#, JSON, XML, VisualCron, PowerBI, Tableau; and, cloud-based database solutions (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).Advanced SQL skills, including data modeling, DBO creation, management, OLAP principles and indexing.Expertise in identifying and diagnosing application and database related issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.Demonstrated ability to architect, design, develop and implement solutions around micro-service and monolithic architectures.Proven knowledge of:Non-relational databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark);Pharmacy industry standards such as NCPDP, HL7, ANSI X12, and/or related drug database terminologies and classifications; and,Medicare Part D, PDE submissions & returns, pharmacy claims and benefit managementPhysical/Mental Demands: This position is administrative in nature and will present physical demands requisite to a position requiring: hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within assigned territory. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.Schedule: This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis.
