ROLEย OVERVIEW:

The Manager of Data Visualization Platforms owns Hershey's visualization ecosystem as an enterprise platform, ensuring Power BI and governed reporting layers are reliable, scalable, secure, and aligned to data governance and enterprise standards. This role treats visualization as a missioncritical capability - the primary interface between enterprise data investments and business decisionmaking - rather than a downstream reporting function. The Manager is accountable for platform standards, performance, access models, and operational health, proactively reducing risk, fragmentation, and report sprawl. Through close partnership with Data Platform, Data Products, Governance, Security, and GCC delivery teams, the role drives consistency, trust, and maximum ROI from Hershey's data ecosystem.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategic Platform Ownership: Define and evolve the enterprise visualization platform strategy, including standards, patterns, tooling direction, and guardrails across Power BI and governed reporting layers, aligned to Enterprise Data priorities and business needs.
Adoption, Performance & Value Realization: Own platform health, usage, and performance outcomes by defining KPIs for adoption, reliability, security, and scalability; ensure visualization capabilities translate enterprise data investments into trusted business value.
Executive & Enterprise Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with senior business, data, and technology leaders to guide visualization strategy, communicate platform direction and tradeoffs, and represent visualization impacts in enterprise roadmaps and investment decisions.
Platform Risk, Governance & Readiness Management: Proactively identify and manage visualization platform risks, including access, refresh, performance, and report sprawl; enforce standards and mitigation plans in partnership with Governance, Security, and Data Platform teams.
Program & Delivery Coordination: Coordinate GCC, vendor, and federated delivery teams to ensure visualization work aligns to enterprise standards, priorities, and operational expectations across KTLO, Grow, and Transform initiatives.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement: Establish and mature operating rhythms, playbooks, monitoring dashboards, and escalation models to ensure consistent platform execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Enterprise Visualization Platform Reporting: Deliver executivelevel dashboards and operational insights that monitor visualization platform health, adoption, performance, security, and risk, enabling transparency into reliability, usage, and enterprise impact.
Platform Capacity & Demand Planning: Plan and manage visualization platform capacity across KTLO, Grow, and Transform work; partner with Data Products, GCC, and business leaders to anticipate demand, manage scale, and prevent performance or access bottlenecks.
Platform Innovation & Capability Advancement: Evaluate emerging visualization capabilities, features, and tooling options; introduce platform enhancements and standards that improve performance, usability, governance alignment, and analytics consumption at scale.
Visualization Operating Model & Governance Maturation: Define and mature enterprise standards, operating models, workflows, and governance mechanisms for visualization platforms, ensuring consistent execution, reduced fragmentation, and sustained trust across the reporting ecosystem.

QUALIFICATIONS
Platform Leadership: Experience owning and operating enterprise visualization platforms, balancing KTLO, Grow, and Transform priorities.
Technical Expertise: Strong fluency in visualization platforms (e.g., Power BI), semantic models, governance, security, and access patterns.
Operational & Analytical Rigor: Ability to use platform health, usage, and risk metrics to drive reliability, scalability, and improvement.
Executive Communication & Influence: Proven capability to communicate platform direction, risks, and tradeoffs to senior business and technology leaders.
CrossFunctional Execution: Demonstrated success leading through influence across Data Platform, Products, Governance, Security, GCC, and business teams.

Experience & Education:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Data/Analytics, Computer Science, or a related technical field; Master's degree is a plus.
Experience: 6-10 years of experience in enterprise data, analytics, or visualization platform roles, with 2-3+ years owning platform strategy, operations, or crossfunctional delivery in a large enterprise environment.
