Data Visualization Specialist
The Opportunity:
Identify, design, and execute visualization approaches and visually articulate cohesive analysis results to varying audiences with multiple objectives. Understand the processes of identifying and collecting data and its sources, analyze and extract key data and information, and evaluate and monitor data quality to meet an organization's information needs and requirements. Apply advising and technical expertise to customer challenges and develop virtual dashboards built upon specialized software fed by multiple databases. Conduct verification and validation of data, visualization models, and resulting visualizations. Work without considerable direction and mentor and supervise team members as well communicate with Business Process owners and Stakeholders in the customer spaces.
You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience in a professional work environment
  • 3+ years of experience with data analytics and data visualization tools, including Tableau, QlikSense, or Microsoft Power BI
  • Experience with color theory, typography, data-ink ratio, or Gestalt Principles
  • Experience with management advising techniques, including client interviews, data gathering, and problem-solving
  • Experience with scripting languages, including SQL or Python
  • Experience with briefing techniques, methods, and findings to senior personnel and leadership
  • Knowledge of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS), Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes using tools, including Databricks
  • Knowledge of operations research techniques, including probability and statistical methods
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:
  • 3+ years of experience with capturing user requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with the design, development, and visualization of scientific methods and techniques, including mathematical, statistical, or econometric
  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Operations Research, Management Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a Data Science related field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
