The Director, Data Products will own the strategy, definition, and sustainment of a portfolio of data products at DaVita. This teammate is accountable for identifying data products that enable high-value use cases and align with company strategy and priorities. By delivering the right enterprise data products, this role ensures frictionless access to useful and trusted data assets โ€“ supporting Village orchestration and alignment, insights and innovation, and delivering defined ROI for priority use cases.

The Director, Data Products will coordinate closely with Data Domain Owners, while also ensuring alignment to Action Team priorities. The Director, Data Products role is essential for the success of DaVitaโ€™s newly centralized data organization by advancing the number and use of centralized data products, ultimately transforming data from a "cost of doing business" into a strategic asset.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Vision
  • Set and communicate a clear vision and priorities for data products, ensuring alignment with Village-wide priorities such as improving clinical outcomes, driving census growth, and inflecting Teammate engagement and retention.
  • Own end-to-end roadmaps from inception through launch, scale, and optimization; manage dependencies across products; continuously prioritize based on realized value, risks, and evolving business needs.
  • Define success metrics, create a measurement plan, and use data + feedback to adjust priorities over time.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Alignment
  • Coordinate with Village leadership to ensure alignment with Village-wide priorities, including working with business lane leaders on high-value data issues and with data management leadership for the coordinated use of resources.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and Action Teams; leverage those relationships to promote data product adoption and surface use cases that can be solved with data products.
  • Connect the dots between existing data products and emerging cross-lane needs.
Drive Delivery Through Cross-Functional Leadership
  • Partner with architecture and Data Domain Owners on overall approach and high-level solution design of data products and Data Domain Objects.
  • Drive solutioning session with stakeholder teams to meet their business needs.
  • Translate business needs into unambiguous technical specifications and data requirements; collaborate with delivery team to manage trade-offs, technical debt, and create delivery plans.
  • Lead launch readiness including enablement, training/job aids, feedback loops, and post-launch measurement.
Governance, Investment, and Operational Rigor
  • Manage product operating rhythms: quarterly planning, roadmap reviews, progress reporting, and stakeholder updates.
  • Own investment/value conversations for your product area (e.g. benefit sizing, tradeoffs, sequencing).
  • Define product-level indicators and adoption metrics; track value realization; use insights to optimize products and modernize capabilities.

  • Stakeholders consistently say: "This team helps us solve the right problems and gets to outcomes faster."
  • Deployed data products reduce friction in critical workflows and improve stakeholder team experiences (measured through agreed metrics/OKRs).
  • Roadmap is focused, prioritized, and transparent; teams can explain what theyโ€™re doing and why, in plain language.
Education and Requirements
  • Bachelorโ€™s Degree or clinical license in a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Intelligence, or a related data field.
  • Expertise in operationalizing high-value data use cases within the Village or similar complex healthcare settings.
  • Product management expertise, including lifecycle ownership, roadmap development, backlog management, and outcome tracking.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into data specifications.
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influence skills with the ability to engage cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Broad data knowledge spanning data management principles (governance, architecture, modeling, integration, BI), data engineering concepts (data lakes, master/reference data), and agile development methodologies.

  • 10% travel required

Salary

The Salary Range for the role is $129,000.00-$205,000.00 per year.

Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidateโ€™s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. DaVita offers a competitive total rewards package, which includes a 401k match, healthcare coverage and a broad range of other benefits.
