General Purpose & Essential Duties:

The Director of Data Strategy serves as Guardian Alarm’s senior leader for enterprise data initiatives, responsible for defining and executing the vision for how data is captured, managed, and leveraged across the organization. This role drives enterprise-wide transformation through data-driven insights, ensuring that data is a strategic enabler of business growth, operational excellence, and customer engagement. The Director works closely with executive leadership, technology teams, and business units to align data capabilities with corporate objectives.

  • Develop and own the enterprise data strategy, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technology roadmaps.
  • Serve as the executive sponsor for major data initiatives, including analytics, business intelligence, data governance, and advanced analytics programs.
  • Lead and optimize acquisition related data integration efforts.
  • Establish an enterprise data architecture and integration framework to improve data accessibility and reliability.
  • Partner with C-suite and senior leaders to identify and execute high-impact, data-enabled business opportunities.
  • Lead the design and delivery of advanced analytics solutions to improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and revenue growth.
  • Oversee data governance policies, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
  • Build and lead a high-performing data strategy team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and trends in data analytics, AI/ML, and data management, and assess their strategic applicability.
  • Define and track KPIs to measure the value and ROI of enterprise data initiatives.

 Required skills, abilities, education & experience:

  • Proven track record in developing and implementing enterprise-level data strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Deep expertise in analytics, business intelligence, data architecture, and governance.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex data concepts for executive and business audiences.
  • Familiarity with AI, machine learning, and predictive analytics applications in business.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in data strategy, analytics, or business intelligence roles, including 5+ years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Experience leading enterprise data initiatives within technology-driven, customer-centric organizations.
