Creative Director - Design Strategy & Brand Stewardship

Overview:

Reporting to the Senior Director of Creative & Brand Strategy, the Director of Design Strategy and Brand Stewardship is responsible for driving creative excellence of BMS brand across key enterprise platforms, while also stewarding the implementation of creative strategies and governance across Corporate Communications, Affairs and the broader organization.Sitting within the Corporate Communications team and broader Corporate Affairs organization, the Design Director will serve as the key liaison and creative consultant to various stakeholders across the organization, that are delivering brand experiences through various online, and offline channels. They are an exceptional strategist who is also a doer and can maximize the talents of a cross functional team with a distinct point of view, for bold work that sets the bar for quality creative outputs that truly deliver on a creative brief.

The role requires a leader who is eager to drive the next chapter of creative innovation, while sustaining creative foundation.This role serves as a thought partner to the Senior Director, Creative and Brand Strategy. The Director of Design Strategy and Brand Stewardship will leverage metrics, insights and digital tools to shape creative strategy and create unique experiences.This role will lead the continual evolution of our brand creative standards, guidelines and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead creative strategy and design direction for internal and external corporate brand; supporting Tier 1 and leading Tier 2 initiatives.

  • Deliver clear, compelling and integrated creative director for designers, content creators, production teams to drive an elevated and integrated asset portfolio.

  • Manage agency relationships, onboarding, consultations and design reviews for external partners across the enterprise.

  • Pursue bold and disruptive creative design aesthetic, while ensuring assets adhere to brand guidelines.

  • Enforces companywide brand standards to maintain the design integrity of internal and external marketing materials and communications.

  • Serve as key creative and brand consultant across business partners including, but not limited to, Congress Teams, Talent Acquisition, Real Estate and Workplace Solutions and Inclusion & Culture.

  • Supports and pursues creative efforts to raise the bar and elevate BMS reputation by staying informed of trends and behaviors, streamlining processes, and planning improvements

  • Sets brand asset and creative direction across omni-channel (internal/external/workplace brand).

  • Works efficiently and effectively with Project Manager to keep projects on track and meet deadlines necessary to achieve business goals and objectives

Key Skills

  • Minimum 10 years corporate or agency experience in design

  • Degree and/or certifications in Graphic Design/Advertising

  • Exceptional leadership skills and outstanding communication skills

  • Portfolio demonstrates a body of work encompassing 360 creative campaigns (content and advertising) with knowledge of new media formats

  • A strong understanding of design, copy, and photography/videography best practices

  • An intimate understanding of brand development and multichannel communications concepts

  • Deep experience in directing photography, illustration and video

  • Comfortable with explaining concepts to senior leaders;Expert in visual and written language

  • Passionate about brands, ideas, storytelling, and experiential

  • Experience with a variety of software and digital platform, withexpert-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite software

Compensation Overview:

Princeton - NJ - US: $187,340 - $227,012

The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available. The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills, where the job is performed, the employee's work schedule, job-related knowledge, and experience. Final, individual compensation will be decided based on demonstrated experience.

Paid Time Off

  • Phoenix, AZ, Puerto Rico and Rayzebio Exempt, Non-Exempt, Hourly Employees: 160 hours annual paid vacation for new hires with manager approval, 11 national holidays, and 3 optional holidays

Based on eligibility*, additional time off for employees may include unlimited paid sick time, up to 2 paid volunteer days per year, summer hours flexibility, leaves of absence for medical, personal, parental, caregiver, bereavement, and military needs and an annual Global Shutdown between Christmas and New Years Day.

*Eligibility Disclosure: The summer hours program is for United States (U.S.) office-based employees due to the unique nature of their work. Summer hours are generally not available for field sales and manufacturing operations and may also be limited for the capability centers. Employees in remote-by-design or lab-based roles may be eligible for summer hours, depending on the nature of their work, and should discuss eligibility with their manager. Employees covered under a collective bargaining agreement should consult that document to determine if they are eligible. Contractors, leased workers and other service providers are not eligible to participate in the program.
