Position Summary

Reporting to the Executive Creative Director, Experience Design, the Lead Director,Omnichannel Experiential Design will lead the creative vision and execution for programs that shape how customers experience the brand across physical, digital, and experiential environments. This role is responsible for developing compelling, insight-driven creative that strengthens brand presence, drives engagement, and orchestrates the seamless integration of digital and physical experiences.

This leader will bring a broad experience design capability and a strong point of view on how brand, environment, communication, content, and technology come together to create meaningful customer interactions. They will lead work spanning store formats, signage systems, display, dynamic digital content, activations, events, sponsorships, and other customer-facing experiences that bridge retail and non-retail touchpoints.

The ideal candidate is a proven senior creative leader with strong conceptual range, high standards for craft, and deep experience translating strategy into omnichannel experiential design solutions. This person should bring expertise across brand experience, retail communications, environmental graphic design, shopper marketing, wayfinding, visual merchandising, digital content, and emerging tools and technologies. They must demonstrate a passion for human-centered design and for solving complex business challenges through compelling, effective creative.

This is a leadership position that requiresinspiring internal creative teams while partnering closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.The ability to impact and influence key stakeholders is critical. The Lead Director, Omnichannel Experiential Design will be responsible for ensuring that the brand is being represented properly and consistently across all touchpoints,while delivering against customer, brand, and business goals.

This role is eligible for remote or hybrid work within the Eastern or Central time zones. The successful candidate should be prepared to travel approximately 1-2 times per quarter, primarily to Rhode Island offices and pilot locations. As a Director-level leader, additional travel may be required as needed to support business priorities, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional partnerships.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead the development of breakthrough creative concepts that connect customer experience strategy, shopper insights, and business objectives across a broad portfolio of omnichannel experiential projects
  • Shape and oversee experience design solutions across store formats, signage, display, digital screens, events, sponsorships, and other brand experiences
  • Orchestrate the seamless integration of physical and digital touchpoints to create cohesive, connected customer experiences
  • Lead successful delivery of environmental communications, dynamic digital content, print collateral, and experiential elements that drive engagement, loyalty, and action
  • Oversee the end-to-end creative process from concept to execution, maintaining high standards for craft, consistency, and effectiveness, while balancing operational, budget, timeline, and production constraints
  • Present creative concepts and rationale clearly to senior stakeholders, building alignment and confidence across functions
  • Guide and mentor a team of designers, writers, and creative leads, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
  • Cultivate trusted partnerships with peers, internal team members, cross functional business teams and external partners.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of retail trends, consumer behavior, experiential design trends and AI enabled tools that canimprove creative development and execution at scale

Required Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in creative leadership roles within an agency and/or corporate environment, with a strong foundation in visual & verbal communication design
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating concept development and execution across experiential design, retail communications, environmental graphics, digital content, events, sponsorships, and customer-facing campaigns
  • Deep knowledge in environmental graphic design and visual storytelling including layout, typography, color, photography, scale, materials and production considerations
  • Experience translating brand, marketing, and shopper experience strategies into high-impact creative concepts acrossmultiple formats, channels, and touchpoints
  • Experience leading the development of dynamic digital screen content, with strong understanding of short-form storytelling, storyboarding, modular systems, motion, pacing, and screen-based composition
  • Proven ability to lead omnichannel creative work that connects physical and digital experiences in a cohesive way
  • Exceptional team leadership skills with a track record of inspiring talent, developing teams, and building strong creative culture
  • Strong collaboration and partnership skills with ability to impact and influence individuals at senior levels-both internally and externally
  • Excellent presentation, storytelling, and interpersonal skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong hands-on team player with enthusiasm, positive attitude and the willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Advanced proficiency in design tools and workflow(Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Aftereffects)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a large, complexorganization
  • Experienceleading work that spans retail, non-retail, experiential, environmental, and digital customer touchpoints
  • Strong familiarity with AI tools and emerging technologies applied to creative development and content production
  • Familiarity with print production, fabrication, environmental graphics, and retail executions

Education

Bachelor's Degree inGraphic Design, Visual Communication, Advertising, Fine Art or related fieldOR equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
