Position Summary:
Conair is seeking a lab technician to support our Engineering and Marketing teams with design, testing, troubleshooting, and reporting on existing and competitive products across multiple brands.
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Support the Engineering and Marketing departments with testing and reporting on existing, new, and competitive products.
  • Manage multiple assignments and customer expectations.
  • Test, evaluate, and debug new and existing products.
  • Conduct competitive evaluations.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis in support of field failures and returns.
  • Maintain equipment and other test apparatus.
  • Develop, conduct, and document tests as required, working with Project Engineers.
  • Generate test report templates, test procedures and equipment use and care manuals.
  • Engineering of Product Specifications against equipment/tests.
  • Follow internal controls and company policies as set by company and job function.
  • Contribute to the success of the company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks assigned.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • Experience with the design, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical products.
  • Experience working in a product testing environment or machine shop environment.
  • Direct experience with test procedures and documentation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, with the ability to design and build unique test fixtures in a machine shop environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of standard test equipment and gauging.
  • Experience with approval agencies and test methodology.
  • Working knowledge of 3D design software (Solid Works and Creo/Pro E preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
 
 
Environmental Factors:
  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment.
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
  • This role requires on-site presence in our office Monday through Friday.
