Summary Statement

The responsibilities of the Nursing Director include lead clinical\r\nsupport functions and clinical operations; optimizing care workflows and other\r\nservice delivery; ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory\r\ncompliance; serving as the link between executive leadership, management, and\r\nfrontline staff; directing nursing and other related and assigned operations\r\nwhile collaborating with interdisciplinary providers and leadership; applying\r\ncurrent nursing best practices; managing healthcarerelated contracts; ensuring staffing and fiscal accountability;\r\nsupporting organizational policy development and monitoring; serving as an\r\nexecutive team member; and participating on committees at Stockley and within\r\nthe Division.\r\n

Essential Functions

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Nursing Director - Long Term Care\r\nNursing\r\nApplicants must have education, training and/or experience\r\ndemonstrating competence in each of the following areas:\r\n\r\n At least three years' experience as a\r\n Registered Nurse in Long Term Care Nursing OR a Bachelor's degree or higher\r\n in Nursing and at least two years' experience as a Registered Nurse in Long\r\n Term Care Nursing OR a license or temporary permit to practice as an\r\n Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.\r\n Possession of a Delaware Registered\r\n Nurse license OR multi-state compact license.\r\n Six months' experience in budget\r\n development which includes developing a budget, analyzing financial data\r\n and making long- and short-range plans and projections.\r\n Six months' experience in developing\r\n policies and procedures.\r\n Six months' experience\r\n inoperations management which includes planning, directing,\r\n coordinating, controlling and evaluating operations typically through\r\n subordinate supervisors.\r\n\r\n

Conditions of Hire

All new hires are required to attend an in-person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment. The session will be held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County.\r\nA satisfactory criminal background check is required and must be covered by the applicant, with an estimated cost of $85.00. Pre-employment drug testing is also required.
