Job Summary โ€“ Power BI Developer (K-12/Education Agency Required)
- Develops, tests, and documents computer programs and data processes for education agency data using Power BI and related tools.
- Consults with stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and identify current procedures.
- Designs and maintains front-end data processes and dashboards in Power BI, ensuring accurate data display and availability.
- Applies structured analysis, design methodologies, and troubleshooting skills to resolve data and system issues.
- Utilizes SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) for ETL and data modeling tasks.
- Creates deployment instructions and manages migration of dashboard updates into test and production environments.
- Provides technical assistance and consultation for infrastructure migrations and updates.
- Actively participates in dashboard governance committees, offering feasibility and time estimates for dashboard updates.
- Implements updates as directed by governance committees and departmental requirements.
- Maintains technical documentation for all developed solutions.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience working with K-12 education agencies, specifically with Ed-Fi Data Standards and Educator Preparation Data Model (EPDM).
- Required technical skills: Power BI, Power BI Data Gateway/Connections, SSIS, SSAS, MySQL, SAS, and technical documentation.
- Preferred: Experience with Texas state education agencies, SmartSheets, Microsoft.NET, and Texas Education Exchange.
- Remote position supporting the Texas Education Agency (TEA); candidates may reside anywhere in the US.
- Multi-year contract; most work authorizations accepted ( EAD).
- $65/hr CTC; resume, visa status, years of experience, and 3 professional references required for submission.
