Position Summary

The Director of Development and Community Engagement lead's the organization’s philanthropic and outreach strategies to support growth and visibility. This leadership role develops and oversees fundraising initiatives, donor relations, sponsorship development, and community engagement strategies. The Director plays a critical role in aligning development efforts with strategic organizational goals and ensuring long-term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Development Strategy & Fundraising
• Design and lead multi-year fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and philanthropic partners.
• Oversee giving campaigns and donor engagement initiatives.
Sponsorship & Grant Management
• Develop sponsor relationships and lead grant lifecycle processes.
• Ensure grant compliance and reporting accuracy.
Community Engagement & Leadership
• Supervise the Community Engagement Manager and provide strategic direction.
• Align outreach efforts with organizational development goals.
Reporting & Performance
• Track KPIs, prepare executive reports, and maintain donor databases.
• Represent A&S Management at events and community initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive development or fundraising experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven success in donor cultivation and partnership development.
• Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
