Responsibilities

Leadership role that provides oversight and care coordination for the Colorectal Cancer Program and support toward Northside Hospital compliance with the National Accreditation Program for Rectal Cancer (NAPRC) standards. Responsibilities include serving in the NAPRC Rectal Cancer Program Coordinator role facilitating patients diagnosed with rectal cancer, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, access to high quality care throughout the continuum.  Works collaboratively with the Colorectal Cancer Multidisciplinary Team consisting of colorectal surgeon(s), medical oncologist(s), radiation oncologist(s), pathologist(s), radiologist(s), surgical services leadership, service line coordinators, rectal cancer / GI cancer clinicians, and MDC Conference team. Provides support to the Colorectal Cancer Program physicians including the NAPRC Program Director(s) for data collection, evaluation of program outcomes and development of corrective actions as indicated.

Qualifications1. Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing 2. Three years of recent oncology nursing experience 3. Strong administrative management supervisory experience as evidenced by ability to:
  • Plan, organize, direct, and control activities of an initiative within or across hospital services
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, physicians, and other healthcare providers
4. Successful coordination, team leadership, and service skills.5. Good written and oral communication skills.6. Good organization, analytical, and problem solving skills, to include experience analyzing and evaluating effectiveness of marketing and or program development initiatives.7. Knowledge and proficiency in the use of computers to include experience with data processing, spreadsheet and database programs. Preferred: 1. Five or more years of oncology nursing experience2. Master's Degree in Nursing3. Certifications in Oncology Nursing4. Experience as an Oncology Nurse Navigator, Clinical Nurse Specialist or Nurse Practitioner5. Experience collaborating with stakeholders to develop collateral on products services.6. Knowledge of tools to communicate and share information with service line leaders and administration data reports, centralized way to view and collect strategic information with internal stakeholders, etcWork Hours:7:00am- 3:30pmWeekend Requirements:NoEmployment Type: FULL_TIME
