What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a technology data center by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and vehicle patrols of data center buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site procedures; verify credentials and direct individuals to appropriate check-in locations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
  • Complete detailed activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff communications while maintaining a professional presence in a high-availability technology environment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
