Description
Our Buildings & Grounds Department has a full-time, 40-hour Director of Buildings & Grounds position available. This position is located at our Slingerlands, NY facility but is responsible for maintenance and oversight of our facilities throughout Warren, Washington & Albany Counties. This is a salaried, overtime exempt position. A typical work week is Monday-Friday 8am-4pm, but scheduling flexibility is required for emergencies and snow removal duties. The annual salary is $90,000 + longevity. This position provides advanced maintenance and oversight and provides direction to the technicians and foremen.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid driver's license that meets WWAARC insurability requirements
  • At least 5 years of experience in buildings or grounds maintenance is required.
  • Must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Must have a strong background and demonstrate proficiency in all of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, building and equipment repair, residential and commercial HVAC systems and repair, and grounds maintenance (plowing, mowing, and/or landscaping projects).
  • Physical requirements: Job is a manual labor position, and employee is required to stand, lift, kneel and bend regularly throughout the day, both indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather conditions. Must be able to regularly lift 50-75 pounds with or without accommodation.
