Job description

We are a well-funded biotech company that is redefining drug discovery and development through our fully integrated platform. We combine ultra-high-throughput microfluidics driven functional screening, computational engineering, and translational immunology into a unified engine. Rather than approaching drug development as a series of disconnected steps, we seamlessly integrate the discovery of novel targets, functional screening of binders, computational optimization, and predictive safety assessment to develop more better and safer therapeutics. This end-to-end approach enables faster iteration, deeper biological insight, and the development of better drugs with greater precision and confidence.
We are seeking a Summer Intern who will support project-based analytical work for executive leadership and cross-functional scientific teams. This role will contribute to generating insights related to oncology and autoimmune therapeutics, competitive landscapes, emerging technologies, market opportunities, and broader industry trends that help inform strategic decision-making. The intern will collaborate closely with leadership and scientific teams to contribute to targeted analyses, strategic assessments, and decision-support materials. The ideal candidate has exposure to or a strong interest in biotechnology, business strategy, market research, and understanding how scientific and commercial insights intersect in the development of innovative therapeutics.
We are open to both part-time and full-time candidates. For part-time candidates, we are open to engagement past the summer depending on business needs.
What You'll Gain:

  • Direct exposure to executive-level strategic decision-making within an early-stage biotech company.
  • Hands-on experience evaluating oncology and autoimmune therapeutic landscapes, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies.
  • The opportunity to work closely with leadership, scientific and business advisors, scientists, and engineers building next-generation immunotherapy platforms.
  • Practical experience at the intersection of biotech strategy, market intelligence, and scientific innovation.
  • Exposure to how early-stage biotech companies evaluate pipeline opportunities, partnerships, platform positioning, and long-term growth strategy.
  • A high-impact internship experience with broad visibility across scientific and business functions.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct market research and competitive landscape analyses across oncology and autoimmune therapeutic areas.
  • Analyze current standards of care, approved therapeutics, clinical-stage pipelines, emerging treatment modalities and patient population triage, as well as biotech and pharmaceutical company activity, including partnerships, licensing, financings, acquisitions, and clinical milestones.
  • Support strategic assessments of oncology targets, immunology pathways, and emerging technologies.
  • Develop presentations, market maps, executive summaries, and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Help executive team optimize pitch decks for external business conversations.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with scientific and leadership teams on strategic and market intelligence projects.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Currently pursuing a PhD/MBA degree, with a focus in healthcare and/or biotechnology. Ideally someone with a PhD in immuno-oncology who is interested in business and has some business training.
  • Background in life sciences, biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, pharmacy, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in biotechnology, therapeutics, healthcare innovation, and market strategy.
  • 2+ years experience working at a biotech or pharmaceutical company.
  • Familiarity with oncology and/or immunology concepts is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret scientific literature, clinical trial data, and industry reports and synthesize information into actionable business insights.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment, take initiative, and drive projects independently.
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, market research tools/databases. Familiarity with using AI tools to accelerate research is appreciated, but depth in original research is required.
Compensation:
  • Compensation will be determined based on experience and market benchmarks
Benefits:
  • Daily lunches; Unlimited snacks and drinks.
    โ€ข Commuter Benefits.
โ€ข Hands-on exposure to biotech strategy, oncology therapeutics, and executive-level decision making
