Job description

Regulatory amp; Compliance Manager
On-site | Full-Time | U.S. Work Authorization Required
Position Summary
The Compliance amp; Regulatory Manager is responsible for managing and supporting regulatory compliance across the company's alcohol beverage manufacturing and co-packing operations. This role serves as the internal subject-matter expert for TTB requirements, regulatory reporting, recordkeeping, federal excise tax, product approvals, permits, and related compliance activities.
Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation, and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Lead the company's TTB and alcohol beverage regulatory compliance program, ensuring regulatory obligations are accurately interpreted, documented, and fulfilled.
  • Manage TTB reporting, regulatory submissions, recordkeeping, and compliance requirements, including operational reports and federal excise tax reporting.
  • Oversee reconciliation of production, inventory, transfers, losses, removals, and other regulated activities to ensure accurate and complete regulatory records.
  • Own the company's regulatory compliance calendar and ensure required filings, renewals, approvals, and other obligations are completed accurately and on time.
  • Manage TTB permits, registrations, formulas, COLAs, and other applicable product and operational regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and maintain compliance policies, SOPs, controls, documentation, and audit-ready records.
  • Ensure regulatory responsibilities between the company, brand owners, customers, and other parties are clearly defined and appropriately documented.
  • Lead responses to TTB audits, inspections, inquiries, and other regulatory interactions.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and lead implementation of changes to policies, procedures, systems, and business processes.
  • Develop and deliver regulatory training and guidance to employees and cross-functional teams.
  • Establish metrics and reporting to monitor compliance performance, identify trends, and communicate significant risks or issues to leadership.
  • Meets all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements; participates in food safety meetings as required.
  • Cultivates and promotes a strong safety culture and follows all safety policies, procedures, and regulations; identifies and communicates workplace hazards and corrects or seeks assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions; participates in safety meetings as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Regulatory Affairs, Business, Accounting, Finance, Food Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant regulatory, compliance, alcohol beverage manufacturing, or related experience.
  • Experience with TTB operational reporting, recordkeeping, and/or federal excise tax reporting.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between manufacturing operations, inventory, production records, removals, transfers, and regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate requirements into practical business processes.
Work Expectations
  • This is a regular, full-time position with daily office hours onsite. 
  • The ability to be available for work daily and extended hours as necessary.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen.
  • This position requires long periods sitting/working at a computer, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • The employee should be able to lift and/or move items up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
