Position Overview
This is a hybrid position based in Manhattan. At this time, we are only considering candidates from the tri-state (NY, NJ, or CT) due to business and operational requirements.
SCOPE OF ROLE:
The Support Services functions at S:US are carried out by a team of professionals with diverse backgrounds who share deeply in the S:US mission. We are a resource that provides support to the individual program departments to assist in the pursuit of our mission. Support Services is a collegial, supportive group with a dynamic culture that continuously seeks to collaborate and improve the lives of our clients. This position's objective is to provide supportive technical role in overseeing the smooth operation of technology managed by the Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, implement, and manage cloud-based resources and applications using Azure services.
  • Develop, write, and maintain Infrastructure as Code and scripts to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and security teams to ensure best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure services and infrastructure.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by management.
  • Support and maintain application portfolios and various technology solutions including, though not limited to, MS Products, O365, AVD, Mimecast, Rubrik, network, Wi-Fi, telecommunications, and security solutions.
  • Collaborate in the support of infrastructure solutions that enhance mission-critical business operations. Under the direction of the IT Infrastructure Director, work to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
  • Support the Director of IT Infrastructure in the implementation of infrastructure policies, procedures, identification, and communication of quality of service opportunities and end-user feedback.
  • Maintenance of infrastructure solutions, operations, and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and execution.
  • Stay abreast of emerging security threats and work to implement cutting-edge security solutions and policies.
  • Provide level 2 engineering support for IT Infrastructure, consisting of system escalations, training, and knowledge transfer of system functions to end users and other IT Teams, documentation, after-hours on-call support, and working with external vendors and developers as needed.

Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's Degree / industry certifications
  • Minimum of 4 (four) years' experience working with Azure cloud development and management required
  • Understanding and technical knowledge of current network and operating systems, protocols, and standards, including experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management
  • Experience with operations in Azure (industry certifications preferred)
  • Proficiency in Azure services such as Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, Azure Virtual Desktop.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform.
  • Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or similar languages.
  • Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply IT in solving business problems
  • Superior understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
  • Ability to document and present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

It includes requirements documents, design decisions, architecture descriptions, program source code, and FAQs. User or administration documentation covers manuals that are mainly prepared for end-users of the product and system administrators who support the product.
