About your role:
You will play a pivotal role in driving enterprise-wide digital transformation and automation initiatives by designing and developing innovative applications that enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve business outcomes. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional user experiences through scalable, high-quality solutions that support critical business functions across the organization. This role offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, intelligent automation, process orchestration, and low-code application development. You will collaborate with business and technology teams to build next-generation solutions that accelerate innovation and create measurable business value.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level applications using the Appian platform.
  • Build applications including user interfaces, process workflows, data models, records, reports, and integrations.
  • Design and develop process models, records, reports, SAIL interfaces, web services, and reusable application components.
  • Partner with architects, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver innovative automation and AI-enabled solutions.
  • Guide development teams in implementing best practices for designing, testing, securing, and deploying Appian applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to improve application performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Appian applications with enterprise platforms, cloud services, APIs, and emerging technologies.
  • Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of new technologies, including AI-powered capabilities, intelligent document processing, process mining, and automation tools.

Experience you'll need to have:
  • 5+ years of experience developing enterprise-level applications using object-oriented technology stacks.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Senior Appian Developer developing enterprise applications on the Appian platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with Appian components including Process Models, Records, Reports, Rules, SAIL, Security, Integrations, and Web APIs.
  • Experience integrating Appian with external systems, APIs, and enterprise applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field, and/or equivalent military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:
  • Appian Lead Developer Certification.
  • Experience with AI, Generative AI, intelligent automation, or machine learning-enabled business solutions.
  • Experience with Java or any other object-oriented software development.
  • Experience with UIPath or other robotic process automation (RPA) platforms.
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database design and development.
  • Experience working with cloud-native architecture, REST APIs, and modern integration frameworks.

Salary Range
$82,000.00 - $141,600.00
These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey and New York. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
