Job Title: Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist

Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Affordable Housing Compliance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that our properties remain in compliance with all applicable affordable housing regulations, policies, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive reviews of resident files to ensure compliance with affordable housing program requirements, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, along and other regulatory guidelines.
  • Monitor income certifications, lease agreements, and recertification processes to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to property management teams regarding affordable housing program regulations and procedures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies to address compliance-related issues and inquiries.
  • Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies as required, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Stay informed about changes in affordable housing regulations and update policies and procedures accordingly.
  • Assist with training initiatives to ensure that property management staff members understand and adhere to compliance requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in affordable housing compliance or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8 and/or PHA, and other affordable housing programs and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and property management software.
