We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Physician Assistant to spearhead our Pain Management initiative at Virtuous Healthcare Practice. This full-time role is essential in providing comprehensive care to patients experiencing chronic pain, ensuring they receive the highest quality of clinical services. You will play a pivotal role in assessing, diagnosing, and managing patients’ pain, utilizing your advanced clinical skills in a collaborative environment.

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our hospital, which is equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology and resources dedicated to pain management. The work schedule is from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a structured workday that promotes work-life balance. Our facility is designed to encourage teamwork and collaboration among healthcare providers, enhancing both professional satisfaction and patient outcomes.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients suffering from chronic pain, implementing a thorough diagnostic process that includes reviewing medical histories, physical examinations, and relevant diagnostic tests such as laboratory and imaging reports.
• Formulate and monitor individualized treatment plans utilizing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. This includes prescribing effective medication regimens aligned with therapeutic goals and monitoring patients' responses to treatment.
• Engage in open dialogues with patients and their families, clearly explaining treatment options and procedures to empower them in their healthcare journey.
• Collaborate closely with physicians and members of the healthcare team, seeking guidance for complex cases or integrating multidisciplinary approaches to enhance patient care.
• Regularly assess and evaluate patients' health status to refine treatment strategies based on clinical findings and patient feedback.
• Participate in patient education programs, helping patients understand their conditions and the rationale behind proposed interventions.
• Perform thorough physical examinations and document findings efficiently, ensuring continuity of care and adherence to documentation protocols.

You will primarily be working with patients experiencing a variety of chronic pain conditions, including but not limited to musculoskeletal disorders, neuropathic pain, and post-surgical pain. This role requires sensitivity and empathy, as you will interact with diverse patient backgrounds, each with unique challenges and needs. Your commitment to understanding the complexities of each case will be essential in making a significant impact.

• Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.
• Valid, active licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to foster productive relationships with patients and healthcare teammates.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented and patient-centered environment.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Physician Assistant, preferably in pain management or a related field.
• Proficient in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems for accurate documentation and patient management.
• Experience in implementing evidence-based practices and protocols for pain management.

This Physician Assistant role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD $150,000 to $180,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with potential bonuses. You will also receive a robust benefits package that includes:
