The Marketing Manager contributes to the fulfillment of Sage Credit Unionโ€™s mission to provide our members and communities with the opportunity to prosper by driving brand development, member engagement, and product adoption by developing and executing a strategic, data-informed marketing program ensuring that every campaign reinforces the credit unionโ€™s brand pillars and supports the Credit Unionโ€™s strategic goals and competitive positioning.

Essential Job Functions

  • Lead the Marketing Team: Develop, coach and manage individual team members to ensure department excellence.ย ย 
  • Develop strategy to build brand visibility, recognition, and adoption in emerging markets.
  • Direct marketing and sales planning, including an analysis of competitive products/services, selling techniques, regulation, budgets, pricing and distribution.
  • Conduct market research and recommend product/service modifications or improvements.
  • Coordinate with various departments and stakeholders including IT, Compliance, and Training to ensure alignment in the positioning and effective delivery of communications.
  • Stay current on evolving technologies used to deliver marketing communications including website, social media, online review and search, and adapt tactics accordingly.
  • Lead in the development of all advertising and the associated physical and digital collateral materials.
  • Champion campaigns that are delivered in a timely manner, build lasting relationships, align with the brand, and drive value for our members.
  • Coordinate special events; monitor planning, schedule and implementation as required for proper execution of each event.
  • Manage member complaint/grievance response activity.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Two to five years of experience in marketing in financial services preferred.
  • A cooperative, positive attitude toward members and fellow employees using sound interpersonal skills.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively.
  • Ability to generate creative ideas and develop innovative concepts.
  • Strategic thinking with attention to detail.

Physical Considerations

  • A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or is usually of a personal or sensitive nature. Work may involve motivating or influencing others. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) is necessary.
  • Ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Stooping; kneeling; crouching; and reaching below, at, and over shoulder level required.
