Job Description Job Title: Print & Mail Production Supervisor Location: Battle Creek, MI Position Overview: A leading organization in the print and direct mail industry is seeking a Print & Mail Production Supervisor to lead daily bindery and mail production operations. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient workflow from initial print through mail induction, driving on-time performance, and maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader capable of managing production floor controls and resolving technical issues in real-time.

Key Responsibilities: Lead day-to-day operations across inserters, folders, inkjet systems, die cutters, and stitchers. Execute and adjust production schedules based on workload, staffing, and equipment performance to meet committed mail dates. Enforce strict quality standards, including first-piece signoffs, restart verifications, and hourly QC checks.

Verify correct files, versions, and inkjet data prior to the start of production. Troubleshoot equipment and workflow issues to minimize downtime and maximize throughput. Coordinate with Digital Print, Prepress, and Customer Service departments to ensure seamless job flow.

Train and develop team members, supporting cross-training initiatives across the floor. Ensure full USPS compliance and proper mail preparation for induction. Required Qualifications: Experience in bindery and/or direct mail production.

Proven supervisory experience in a print or manufacturing environment. Working knowledge of inserters (specifically Flowmaster), folders, inkjet systems, die cutting, and stitching. Solid understanding of direct mail workflows and USPS requirements.

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and process issues. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with labor efficiency planning and overtime management. Advanced knowledge of high-volume mail flow and equipment utilization metrics.
