Location
This is a hybrid position based out of the employee's approved home office location. The role requires routine on-site presence at company locations in Ironton, Ohio, and Denver, Pennsylvania, with travel estimated at approximately 50% or more of working time. The frequency and duration of on-site work will vary based on site and business needs, and scheduling will be coordinated collaboratively between the employee and their manager. Additionally, this position includes on-call availability during evenings and weekends as business needs require.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Digital Automation Manager, the Digital Interface Lead is a key leader responsible for designing and optimizing user experiences with the PLC systems on site. This role involves managing program integration and collaborating with third-party vendors as necessary to support Operations. The Digital Interface Lead plays a pivotal role in aligning digital interfaces with business objectives, ensuring seamless integration, and fostering continuous improvement in digital interactions.
What You'll Be Doing
โ€ข Influences the design and implementation of the SCADA aspects of PCT's industrial automation systems deployed; identifies opportunities & implements innovative automation solutions.
โ€ข Establishes, communicates, and implements industrial automation system related policies, practices, and standards.
โ€ข Communicates and works effectively with employees across the organization to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Digital Interface Strategy:
โ€ข Develop and execute a comprehensive digital interface strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
โ€ข Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective digital solutions.
Program Integration:
โ€ข Manage program integration efforts to ensure cohesive digital experiences across various organizational programs.
โ€ข Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate digital interfaces seamlessly.
Third-Party Vendor Collaboration:
โ€ข Oversee relationships with third-party vendors involved in digital interface initiatives.
โ€ข Encourage vendors' selections to meet or exceed PCT design strategies and standards.
โ€ข Collaborate with vendors to ensure the successful integration of their solutions and adherence to quality standards.
Quality Assurance:
โ€ข Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability and performance of digital interfaces.
โ€ข Conduct regular audits and assessments of digital interfaces to identify areas for improvement and update standards as necessary.
โ€ข Develop training programs to enhance user understanding of digital interfaces.
โ€ข Provide support and troubleshooting assistance to users encountering issues with digital interfaces.
โ€ข Work closely with IT, operations, logistics, and other relevant departments to ensure the seamless integration of digital interfaces across systems and platforms.
โ€ข Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide insights for continuous improvement.
โ€ข Additional duties as assigned by the Digital Automation Manager.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 5 years of industrial automation experience or minimum of 10 years of industrial automation experience without a degree.
โ€ข Experience with developing and deployment of automation systems within operating facilities is essential.
โ€ข Working knowledge of various DCS and PLC platforms as well as integration of those platforms with each other and with IT.
โ€ข Knowledge of industrial safety and OSHA regulations required. Familiarization with ISA, and other industry standards a plus.
โ€ข Knowledge of a Project Management Best Practices
โ€ข Self-starter and self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong work ethic and hands-on approach to management and execution of responsibilities.
โ€ข Team player with ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
โ€ข Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
