ROLE SUMMARY

Primacy is seeking a highly strategic, client-centric leader with a proven track record in both client-side and/or agency environments to drive transformational growth for our clients specifically in the Healthcare, Higher Ed, Fin Serv and Manufacturing verticals. This role sits at the intersection of strategic advisory and hands-on execution, partnering directly with senior business leaders to maximize the return on digital investment and accelerate business outcomes. 
Business development is a key measure of success in this role, focused on growing, expanding, and supporting both existing and new clients.
As a trusted advisor, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver integrated growth strategies spanning digital experience, performance marketing, customer journey optimization, data and MarTech ecosystems, and emerging AI-driven capabilities. You bring the ability to translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable roadmaps that deliver measurable impact, leveraging deep analytical thinking, market insights, and a forward-looking perspective on digital innovation.
This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a balance of strategic vision, operational rigor, and client influence, with the opportunity to shape enterprise-level transformation and redefine how we help our clients engage customers, drive growth, and compete in an increasingly digital-first world.

Reports to: SVP, Strategic Services 
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Client Strategy & Impact 
  • Own senior-level relationships across a portfolio of strategic clients, serving as a trusted advisor on growth strategy, digital transformation, customer experience, data/MarTech, and go-to-market optimization. 
  • Diagnose & design solutions: connect enterprise goals to customer journeys, omnichannel content, accessibility/compliance, analytics, and performance marketing. 
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive analyses to diagnose business challenges, identify growth opportunities, and develop actionable strategic recommendations. 
New Business & Market Growth 
  • Lead initiatives to grow Primacy’s vertical practices and increase revenue 
  • Demonstrate digital strategy-based sales experience; match digital solutions to client pain points to generate account growth.
  • Partner with executive leadership and Business Development teams to develop strategic recommendations, and take strategy leadership roles in  presales engagements. 
Practice Leadership & Team Performance 
  • Set excellence standards for the industries’ portfolios (quality, content throughput, client satisfaction) and lead reviews/retrospectives. 
  • Codify and scale knowledge: build playbooks (e.g., college, bank, manufacturing company, provider experience, payer member journeys, biopharma HCP engagement, annuities, insurance), case studies, and enablement materials. 
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, customer behavior shifts, and digital innovation opportunities to continuously evolve client recommendations and agency capabilities.
  • Represent Primacy externally through industry events, speaking engagements, roundtables, published content, and strategic partnerships.
What it takes to succeed in this role 
  1. 10+ years experience in digital strategy, management consulting, customer experience, growth strategy, or digital transformation roles. Experience in one or more of our four verticals is required: Healthcare, Higher Education, Manufacturing, and Financial Services.  
  2. Deep understanding of the industry(s) market forces, customer journeys, and the digital ecosystem (ie: AI, Healthcare tech stacks like Epic, CMS, CRM, Salesforce, analytics, personalization, accessibility, HIPAA/security considerations, Financial and Healthcare regulatory practices). 
  3. Track record of winning and growing accounts, crafting proposals, setting clear KPIs, and delivering ROI. 
  4. Published thought leadership and frequent speaking engagements in healthcare, higher ed, fin serv, and/or manufacturing. 
  5. Proven ability to build productive relationships with VP/SVP/C suite leaders and influence complex stakeholder environments. 
  6. Builder’s mindset: ability to create (POVs, frameworks, tools) and lead cross functional teams to execute at pace. 
  7. Communication excellence: compelling storyteller with outstanding written, verbal, and visual communication skills. 
  8. Familiarity with AI, advanced analytics, and emerging digital technologies prefer 
  9. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MS) preferred.

Compensation Range: We offer a competitive compensation package based on experience, qualifications, and demonstrated performance. This role includes both fixed and variable compensation components, with on-target earnings (OTE) ranging from approximately $150,000 to $250,000+ annually. High performers who exceed goals may earn above the target range.
