Description
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will provide administrative and creative support to the marketing department. This role executes marketing tactics and those activities leading to contact with potential new and established customers. This position designs and implements marketing initiatives that will generate new leads through various channels such as print, digital, direct mail and e-mail campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Create and execute print, digital, sales collateral, direct mail and e-mail campaigns based on current corporate branding using brand guidelines.
  • Utilize marketing automation platform from corporate marketing, when available.
  • Coordinate and develop e-mail campaigns and corporate e-newsletters utilizing e-mail engines such as MailerLite.
  • Traffic print and electronic advertising with media partners and maintain up-to-date media insertion schedules.
  • Provide copywriting and proofreading for various internal and external communications.
  • Develop and distribute press releases to trade publications.
  • Work closely with Trade Show Manager to assist in the execution of activities related to major trade shows including pre- and post-show follow up communications.
  • Assist in creating general and product presentations to support Sales needs.
  • Distribute marketing newsletters, launch packages, collateral and communications received from international parent company.
  • Assist in creating graphic designs, displays and collateral that ensure a consistent and uniform marketing message.
  • Maintain social medial channels with appropriate and timely updates
  • Maintain and organize collateral in Kansas City office and off-site warehouse, perform quarterly inventory to ensure required stock is always maintained.
  • Source, create and maintain various aspects of visitor experience, including video screen content, reading material in lobby area, brochure display in atrium, etc.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, marketing, advertising or similar relevant field or a minimum of 2 years' experience performing a role substantially similar to this job's essential functions in a B-to-B environment is required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrate strong and effective verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills, including effective presentation skills. Being proactive, detail oriented, possessing a positive attitude and working well with others is a must for this role. Experience working with a global company is a plus.
This position may travel up to 20%. Normal business hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm. Schedule needs to be flexible to accommodate trade show and event schedules.
