Our Client is searching for a Digital Sales Manager to join their team and work directly with a reputable business and provide savers access to savings in their community through the companies integrated print and digital strategies. The company offers coupons and deals delivered to nearly 4.5 million homes in the Chicago, Detroit, Grand Rapids, and Twin Cities areas.
Job Description - Digital Sales Manager
The Digital Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing online sales strategies with a focus on increasing online revenue, planning, strategic growth of digital products, increasing internet advertising base, and new business development. The Digital Sales Manager must also be an effective leader, someone who can lead sales training, and communicate new digital concepts and ideas. Must have excellent time management skills and be highly organized.
The Digital Sales Manager helps assist sales reps to increase sales, motivate, and answer questions. They help coach up the designated rep(s) to the next level to sell. They attend ride-a-longs with their designated rep(s). They work closely with the VP of Sales to build the confidence of the sales rep they support with product knowledge, presenting a product, and increasing revenue. They help motivate the reps and help them become more successful.
Expectations/Responsibilities:
  • The candidate will drive digital revenue growth for the company; take revenue share out of the market and create new digital business - be a part of every local advertiser's budget.
  • The candidate will work at a partnership/consultant level as an expert in digital advertising with account executives, agencies, and advertisers.
  • The candidate will work in tandem with the VP of Sales in revenue strategy, expense management, training, and overall cross-media revenue production.
  • The candidate will have oversight of all digital sales products, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
  • The candidate will have the ability to forecast revenue, develop and sustain a business plan to exceed the digital sales budget.
  • The candidate will have management of the digital sales pipeline, including the formation of individual AE budgets and regional/national agency business.
  • The candidate will create strong business relationships and develop a sense of team with the Account Executives and assist with targeting, building, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • The candidate will brainstorm with the salespeople for creative marketing promotions that leverage digital and direct mail assets.
  • The candidate will develop and deliver best practices for digital knowledge among the sales department and clients.
  • The candidate will partner with the administration team to support the overall growth of our digital audiences through internal strategic objectives.
  • The candidate will work with the corporate digital team on corporate-led sales initiatives, 3rd party revenue channels, and group sales projects.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience preferred
  • The candidate must have demonstrated experience in Digital Sales experience with a track record of success.
  • The candidate must meet new clients and develop relationships at multiple leadership levels.
  • The candidate must be able to travel.
  • The candidate must have strong negotiation and closing skills, excellent organization, and reasoning skills.
