Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Digital Marketing Manager.  This full-time benefits-eligible position requires someone who has demonstrated skills and abilities in managing and executing digital marketing campaigns from strategy to delivery, who is knowledgeable about the use of email and social media in marketing campaigns, who is proficient in using data to inform decisions and improve performance and who has the ability to positively contribute to an anti-racist organization and assist in dismantling structural racism in marketing.  Applicants for this role should have exceptional communication and analytical skills, and demonstrated creativity, collaboration, and project management skills.

POSITION SUMMARY

Collaborating closely with the Associate Director of Marketing, Senior Manager of Design and Digital, the Education team, and CTC’s digital marketing agency, the Digital Marketing Manager strategizes, plans, and implements paid digital advertising efforts to create high-impact campaigns that inspire engagement, deepen patron relationships, and advance CTC’s mission. This position plays a key role in defining data-driven digital marketing strategy and leads the implementation of all aspects of paid digital marketing and email campaigns, including targeted messaging for key audience segments, and ensuring cohesive, brand-aligned, and results-driven campaigns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Digital Strategy & Campaign Leadership

  • Plan, manage, and optimize paid digital marketing strategies and email communications for productions, subscription tickets, and education initiatives
  • Lead strategy and planning for media and search campaigns across Google, Google Grant, Meta, OTT, programmatic display, and other platforms, working with CTC’s digital agency to align targeting, creative, and pacing for optimal performance
  • Review Google Analytics dashboard in partnership with digital agency for website, search, digital advertising, and email to measure key metrics, report on findings, and provide recommendations for changes to strategy to maximize reach and engagement, and drive web traffic
  • Identify emerging platforms and technologies that enhance audience engagement

Email Marketing & Patron Communications

  • Manage planning, scheduling, list segmentation, design, and deployment of all Marketing and Education department email campaigns, including subscription, single tickets, and all Theatre Arts Training programs, student matinees, and other public events
  • Design, automate, and deploy pre- and post-show patron emails to build loyalty and encourage repeat attendance
  • Analyze performance and optimize content and cadence

Website & Content Support

  • Collaborate on website updates, SEO, and landing pages to enhance user experience and conversions
  • Support content capture efforts to deepen audience engagement and build interest in CTC’s Education classes and camps

CRM & Audience Segmentation

  • Partner with Tessitura Database Administrator to utilize CRM data to generate targeted segmentation personalized campaigns that deepen engagement and retention
  • Develop proficiency in CRM system to build and export lists for all email campaigns and marketing mailings as needed, providing back-up to Tessitura Database Administrator
  • Provide back-up to Ticket Office Manager for text and ticket-delivery platform to enhance patron experience

Cross-Departmental Leadership & Collaboration

  • Record and track all email campaigns within the shared digital communications calendar to coordinate efforts with the Education and Development teams
  • Provide digital strategy guidance across departments and initiatives, including Plays for New Audiences and institutional campaigns
  • Contribute to special projects and events that advance CTC’s marketing goals

Collaborate with all departments in the furtherance of CTC’s goal of being an anti-racist/anti-bias theatre that works towards Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion

  • Encourage and empower everyone to speak out against racist workplace practices and policies
  • Study topics that lead to a deeper understanding of how white supremacy, racial violence, and systemic racism have shaped American society and how that shapes CTC’s workplace and the lives of CTC employees
  • Positively contribute to the ACT One platform, creating a future where our theatre is a home for all people, all families, reflective of our community
COMPENSATIONThe starting salary range for this full-time position is between $54,000 and $60,000 annually.  Benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance; short-term and long-term disability and life insurance; vacation and sick leave; nine paid holidays; and a 403(b) retirement savings plan.

Experience

  • Significant demonstrated knowledge and skill in management and execution of digital marketing campaigns, ideally in the performing arts, entertainment, or nonprofit sector
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-channel digital advertising, email marketing, and analytics
  • Proficiency with Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, GA4, and CRM systems (Tessitura experience preferred)
  • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, content marketing, and emerging digital trends
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with an eye for design and storytelling
  • Collaborative leadership style with the ability to manage multiple priorities and partners in a fast-paced environment
