Description

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Digital Delivery (BIM) Coordinator - Nuclear to support day-to-day model-based digital delivery on active nuclear and power projects under the oversight of a project Digital Delivery (BIM) lead.

This role is project facing and execution focused. The Digital Delivery Coordinator supports project digital delivery planning, model coordination, issue tracking, collaboration workflows, and practical adoption of project model-based delivery requirements across discipline teams.

The ideal candidate has hands-on model coordination experience, strong communication habits, a willingness to learn, and an interest in growing within nuclear or power plant project delivery.

Project Digital Delivery Execution and Startup
  • Support development, implementation, and maintenance of the project Digital Delivery Plan / BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and related coordination workflows.
  • Support reviews and audits of migrated digital delivery / BIM data in new project environments, including checks for model completeness, object properties, file organization, reference links, and overall data integrity.
  • Support planning and execution of data transfers, model migrations, and conversion efforts including coordination of source files, export formats, conversion requirements and processes, and validation checks.
  • Assist with project kickoff and digital delivery startup activities, including model setup coordination, access needs, permissions requests, and collaboration workflow readiness.
  • Help communicate project digital delivery expectations, including model organization, review cycles, deliverable expectations, and tool workflows.
  • Coordinate day-to-day digital delivery activities, near-term review needs, and follow-up actions across disciplines, offices, and external partners.
  • Help onboard users, provide practical coaching on day-to-day digital delivery workflows, and identify recurring workflow or training gaps for escalation.
  • Bring a proactive, curious, and team-oriented mindset to learning Sargent & Lundy digital delivery practices, quality processes, nuclear project expectations, and power plant design workflows.
Model Coordination and Issue Management
  • Support multi-discipline model federation and coordination, including clash review, issue tracking, prioritization, and resolution follow-up.
  • Facilitate or assist with coordination meetings, capture action items, and help maintain visibility of open model-based issues.
  • Prepare models for internal and client-facing reviews, including confirming current model versions and organizing review files when required.
  • Support alignment on model review scope, expected outcomes, and follow-up actions with the Digital Delivery / BIM Lead, project management, and discipline reviewers.
Model Quality and Deliverable Support
  • Perform routine model review checks against project requirements, including naming conventions, model organization, basic attribute completeness, and deliverable readiness.
  • Support discipline teams in resolving model coordination or deliverable preparation items tied to drawings, quantity support, constructability coordination, and turnover needs.
  • Assist with model exports, coordination files, review packages, archives, and closeout documentation as required by the project plan.
Client, Partner, and Vendor Support
  • Support client and partner coordination as requested, including model review preparation, standards alignment, external model input coordination, and project-level digital delivery status updates.

This position allows for a hybrid work schedule.

Required Qualifications

Education
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, certificate, or formal training in design/drafting, BIM/VDC, engineering technology, construction technology, CAD, or related technical programs will also be considered.
  • An equivalent combination of technical education, design/drafting experience, BIM or digital delivery training, and relevant project experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience
  • 5+ years of BIM, VDC, model coordination, or related digital delivery experience in a multi-discipline project environment.
  • Experience supporting model coordination, model federation, issue tracking, model reviews, and project deliverable support.
  • Familiarity with Digital Delivery Plans, BIM Execution Plans, project model standards, or model coordination procedures, with willingness to help execute and improve those workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and Navisworks, or comparable model authoring and coordination tools.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with project teams, facilitate coordination discussions, follow up on action items, and work across multiple disciplines.

Preferred Qualfiications 

  • Experience in power, nuclear, industrial, energy, or other highly coordinated engineering projects.
  • Exposure to ISO 19650 principles, CDE workflows, model review practices, or structured information delivery concepts.
  • Familiarity with model version control, model archive practices, issue follow-up tracking, and coordination meeting support.
  • Familiarity with model exchange workflows such as IFC, client exports, or other project-specific exchange requirements.
  • Certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional, CM-BIM, SmartPlant training, or other relevant digital delivery, BIM, or VDC credentials are a plus.
Reporting & Organizational Context
  • Works closely with Project Managers, Discipline Leads, BIM Leads, IT support resources, and external partners as required by the project.
  • Supports project teams directly, serving as a day-to-day digital delivery and model coordination resource for assigned nuclear and power projects.
Physical / Other Requirements
  • Occasional travel to project sites or client offices as required by project needs.
  • Extended screen time typical of model-based coordination, issue management, and remote collaboration.
