Job Summary

The Sr. Director of Customer and Digital Platforms is a strategic executive leader responsible for accelerating business growth through digital capabilities, operational excellence, customer-focused innovation, and cross-functional business partnerships. This leader will oversee digital growth strategies, operational performance, digital platforms, customer engagement initiatives, and the execution of scalable processes that improve revenue, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, results-driven leader with deep experience leading a strong digital team with an enterprise mindset, strong analytics, and organizational development. This role requires strong commercial acumen, operational discipline, and the ability to align technology, people, and processes to achieve measurable business outcomes.

This is a hybrid position located at our Atlanta, GA corporate office. 

Job Responsibilities

Digital Growth Strategy

  • Execute enterprise digital growth strategies that drive revenue, customer acquisition, retention, and market expansion.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to optimize digital channels, customer journeys, and operational processes through technology and data-driven insights.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, IT, and Operations teams to align growth initiatives with overall business objectives.
  • Drive innovation initiatives leveraging AI, automation, analytics, and modern digital technologies to improve customer engagement and operational performance.

Operational Leadership

  • Lead operational strategy and execution across digital platforms, a large website ecosystem, customer operations, and supporting business functions.
  • Ensure operational scalability, process standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives are implemented effectively.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to prioritize initiatives that improve customer outcomes, productivity, and profitability.

 

Business Partnership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted business partner to executive leadership and department leaders across the organization.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships that align operational execution with strategic business priorities.
  • Lead cross-functional programs and enterprise initiatives that support organizational transformation and growth objectives.
  • Facilitate alignment between technology capabilities and business requirements to ensure successful execution and adoption.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Manage operational budgets, resource planning, and financial performance related to digital growth initiatives and operational programs.
  • Drive accountability for operational KPIs, service levels, customer satisfaction metrics, and business performance targets.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs while improving operational effectiveness and customer experience.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams focused on collaboration, accountability, innovation, and customer success.
  • Develop organizational capabilities in digital operations, analytics, process improvement, and business transformation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, agility, and operational excellence.
  • Create clear development plans, succession strategies, and leadership growth opportunities for team members.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Operations, Marketing, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in digital operations, B2B Commerce.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable business growth through digital strategies and operational excellence.
  • Strong experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms, operational processes, customer experience, analytics, and automation technologies.
  • Experience managing budgets, operational performance metrics, and strategic planning initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, B2B, or complex enterprise environments preferred.
  • Experience with ERP, CRM, analytics, and digital commerce platforms such as SAP, Salesforce, Snowflake, AWS, or similar technologies.
  • Knowledge of AI-enabled business solutions, automation tools, and self-service operational models.
  • Experience leading large-scale operational modernization or digital programs.
  • Experience in leading a team that operates the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
