DESCRIPTION:

Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Enterprise AI Transformation Office is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sr. Manager, Digital Literacy to lead enterprise-wide digital capability development focused on Artificial Intelligence, Automation, Data, and emerging digital technologies.

This strategic leadership role will drive the democratization of digital skills across the organization by developing scalable learning programs, enabling technical and non-technical colleagues, and fostering adoption of enterprise digital tools and platforms. The ideal candidate combines strong executive presence and strategic vision with hands-on technical expertise and training experience.

The Sr. Manager, Digital Literacy will serve as both a thought leader and practitioner—partnering closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and Centers of Excellence to create impactful learning experiences that improve colleague productivity, accelerate innovation, and support long-term digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise digital literacy strategy focused on AI, automation, data, and emerging technologies.
  • Design scalable technical training programs and learning pathways for both technical and non-technical audiences across global regions.
  • Conduct engaging workshops, training sessions, and hands-on enablement programs that educate colleagues on how to effectively use enterprise tools to build applications, agents, automations, and productivity solutions.
  • Drive a “train-the-trainer” model across the organization to scale digital capability development and sustain long-term adoption.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor and educator on topics including:
    • Agentic workflows, API integration processes, MCP server best practices, Digital governance and guardrails, Automation frameworks, Data utilization and governance principles
  • Partner with executive leaders, IT teams, and business stakeholders to identify capability gaps and align digital literacy programs to enterprise priorities.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across functions including Finance, Legal, Operations, Commercial, HR, and Supply Chain to accelerate digital adoption within their organizations.
  • Develop technical documentation, enablement materials, best practices, and implementation guidance for enterprise digital tools and platforms.
  • Support and influence enterprise-wide adoption of platforms including ChatGPT Enterprise, Codex, automation technologies, and data platforms.
  • Closely collaborate with internal SME groups to ensure training programs remain aligned with evolving technologies and enterprise standards.
  • Develop and implement measurement frameworks, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and business impact of digital literacy initiatives.
  • Stay current on emerging AI and automation technologies and rapidly translate new concepts into practical enterprise learning opportunities.
  • Support global teams and stakeholders across multiple time zones, including flexibility to work across international regions when needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in digital transformation, technical enablement, enterprise learning, technology consulting, or related fields.
  • Experience leading a team of high performing colleagues.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also executing tactically in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience developing and scaling enterprise technical training programs and enablement strategies.
  • Strong technical understanding of AI, automation, APIs, agentic systems, enterprise data platforms, and modern digital workflows.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of technical expertise, including executive leadership.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, enterprise data ecosystems, and responsible AI practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn business processes across multiple functions and translate digital opportunities into practical solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence leaders and drive organizational change.
  • Experience leading global initiatives and collaborating across geographically distributed teams preferred.
