About Smart Infrastructure - Electrification and Automation:

Siemens Smart Infrastructure, Electrification & Automation (EA) business unit is headquartered in Wendell, NC. The EA Business Unit has a diverse portfolio of products, including, but not limited to, low-voltage MCC, CMR fuse saver, MV switchgear, MV circuit breakers, and metering, power monitoring, power quality, and protective relay maintenance and systems of a standard nature.
We are looking for a Special Processes Production Supervisor. This position will be based in Wendell, NC. Relocation assistance is available.
You will lead the Special Processes team on the shop floor as direct reports, oversees material handling, internal material kitting, CNC and automated wire processing machineoperations, monitor labor and attendance, develop employees, report operational status, and escalate safety, quality, delivery, material, or productivity issues as needed.
You'll make an impact by:
  • Leading the Special Processes team to meet daily safety, quality, delivery, productivity, material flow, and operational goals.
  • Overseeing daily floor operations, delegating tasks, monitoring progress, and reporting staffing, material, shipment, equipment, and scheduling issues to the Production Manager.
  • Supporting material handling, storage, picking, delivery, kitting, and inventory management activities.
  • Coordinating internal material kitters to support project organization, production readiness, and material accuracy.
  • Monitoring labor charges, attendance, SAP transactions, and shift work hours to support accurate reporting, schedule execution, and team accountability.
  • Reinforcing policy, guideline, and standard work adherence while maintaining a safe, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Providing recognition for strong performance and addressing performance or conduct concerns through coaching and disciplinary action when needed.
  • Completing SAP transactions and maintaining production, material, and area tracking requirements.
  • Partnering with production, materials, quality, engineering, master scheduler, and order manager, to resolve issues and support efficient execution.
  • Serving as backup to the Production Manager as needed.

You'll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology, engineering, or manufacturing, including 3+ years leading direct or indirect teams.
  • Working knowledge of production operations, material flow, labor tracking, attendance expectations, and shop floor systems such as SAP or similar tools.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills, including the ability to coach employees, reinforce policy adherence, provide recognition, and address performance concerns when needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related technical field.
  • Experience in Protection and Automation panels, industrial control panels, or UL508A-related manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as 5S/6S.
  • Experience with training, onboarding, and cross-training programs.
  • Familiarity with SAP, RF scanner devices, SharePoint, Salesforce, PDF markup, Dayforce, or similar digital tools.
  • Knowledge of shipping documentation, receiving processes, BOLs, Proformas for international shipments, inventory accuracy, and material transaction discipline.
  • Technical knowledge of electrical products, industrial control components, panel wiring standards, material handling equipment, CNC equipment, automated wire processing machine equipment, and shop floor production support processes.
  • 5 years of experience successfully leading a team or managing a group of employees.

The pay range for this position is $50,337 - $86,292 annually. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
