Job Summary:
Do it Best is the world's largest hardware, lumber, and building materials buying cooperative in the home improvement industry. They are seeking a strategic and results-driven Digital Product Owner to lead the delivery of innovative digital solutions that enhance business productivity and drive enterprise enablement across the organization.
Responsibilities:
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities where digital tools can enhance productivity, reduce friction, and unlock new capabilities.
• Build and maintain a product roadmap that aligns technology initiatives with enterprise objectives, enabling scalability, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
• Lead with a holistic view of the Do it Best ecosystem—integrating solutions that strengthen outcomes by divisions for Do It Best and its Members
• Partner with Do It Best divisional teams to understand business requirements and customer needs.
• Serve as the key liaison between business stakeholders and technical development teams.
• Translate high-level business goals into actionable user stories and prioritized backlogs.
• Lead the product lifecycle from concept through launch and iteration, ensuring quality, speed, and alignment with business outcomes.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to deliver intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
• Work closely with QA and engineering teams to validate requirements and deliver features that meet acceptance criteria.
• Define and track KPIs to measure product success and identify improvement opportunities.
• Use data insights, member feedback, and market research to continuously refine the product roadmap.
• Ensure the digital product portfolio aligns with member and shopper needs, optimizing engagement and conversion across channels.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience in digital product ownership
• Proven track record of delivering successful operational and customer facing digital solutions
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and product development lifecycles
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
• Ability to manage competing priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
• Prior experience in a fast-paced, product-focused environment
• Knowledge of retail and distribution business processes
• Familiarity with ERP, POS, or ecommerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Fusion, etc)
• Background in data-driven product management
• Understanding of cooperative or member-owned business models
• Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI)
