Role Title: Digital Process Engineer

Duration: 6 months

Preferred Location: Prefer local to Milwaukee or Cleveland but open to remote

Role Description:

We are seeking a Digital Process Engineer to simplify internal digital processes that have become complex, confusing, or difficult to follow. This consultant will bring a structured, objective perspective, identify unnecessary steps and unclear ownership, and design practical future-state workflows that are easy to understand, execute, and sustain.

  • Assess current digital processes and identify complexity, unclear steps, duplicate work, bottlenecks, and ownership gaps.
  • Lead discovery workshops and document current-state workflows
  • Design simplified and standardized future-state processes that are understandable, scalable, and easy to follow.
  • Challenge established practices and help leaders consider how digital processes could work differently.
  • Facilitate alignment between digital leadership, technical teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Create practical process maps, standards, governance recommendations, and prioritized improvement roadmaps.
  • Challenge established practices and introduce an objective external perspective on how work could be performed differently using Agentic AI.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in digital process engineering, process improvement, operational excellence, or a related transformation role.
  • Expertise in process discovery, workflow mapping, root-cause analysis, simplification, and future-state design.
  • Ability to challenge established practices constructively and turn complex or ambiguous processes into clear solutions.
  • Strong facilitation, stakeholder-management, documentation, and communication skills.
  • A tool-agnostic mindset with the ability to design the right process before determining how technology should support it.
  • Experience designing processes for automation or emerging AI capabilities.
